1. Prepare your tool

Before starting to the coloring step, you need to prepare the tool that we will use. You can download the close and fill tool for making your coloring step much more easier.

2. Prepare your line art

After downloading the tool, prepare your line art that need to be colored. Here is the example of my line art that I will color this time.

3. Give the base color

Start adding the base color by using a color blocking. Use the close and fill tool to make the coloring faster and easier. Using this tool allow you to easily block the line art area so that you don’t need to add the base color by using pen brush and etc.

after doing the blocking, you can make a clipping group folder that contain the base color of your line art.

4. Shading

Give the shading of your base color using gray and multiply layer. Don’t forget to clip it. After all of the base has being shaded, you can change the color as you like.

You start the shading with gray color to make it easier for changing the color later.

5. Adding Background and Lighting

If you are finish with coloring the character, you can start adding the background and make them more compactible. Render your character to blend more with the background.

6. Finish it by adding the text

Add a dialog bubble and sound effect to finish your webtoon.
