Hello ! Welcome to my tutorial! Today, I'll show you how to draw hair, the step-by-step process, and some useful tips I personally use while drawing.

LET’S START!

SOME PRACTİCAL TİPS YOU CAN USE WHİLE DRAWİNG

1.Stabilization

Stabilization is one of the key tips. Because if you keep it too low, you will lose precision. And if you keep it too high, it will slow you down. This will allow you to draw more stably.

2.Adjust by speed

It allows you to adjust your stabilization depending on drawing speed. When you draw slowly, the stabilization increases. And when you draw fast, the stabilization decreases.

3.Post correction

After drawing the line, it corrects and smooths it. This provides an advantage when dealing with wavy lines.

NOTE: But be careful not to overdo it. If you set it too high, your lines will start to get distorted.

SKETCH DRAWİNG

Sketching is especially important for your improvement. That's why don't forget to sketch a lot.

REFERANCE

If you’re feeling unsure about your drawing, using a reference can help.

We need this window to make it easier for you to use your reference. You can easily load the reference you downloaded from the area I show you.

START TO HAİR DRAWİNG

1.STEP : Creating the form of the hair

When drawing hair, let's start with simple shapes. First, create the overall form to understand the direction and volume.

2.STEP : Adding details to the hair

Once the base is ready, begin drawing individual strands or groups of hair. Don’t overdo it — keep it balanced.

3.STEP: Clean Up and Refine

Go over the lines, smooth them out with stabilization if needed, and erase unnecessary guidelines.

PAİNTİNG

1.STEP : Drawing from the edges

Let’s move on to the coloring stage. I’ll show you how I paint in my own style.

Once we've picked our colors, we carefully fill the drawing, making sure there are no gaps along the edges.

NOTE: Remember to keep elements like skin and hair on separate layers for better control.

2.STEP : Coloring with the fill tool

Now we’re at the easiest part of the coloring process — just grab the Fill Tool and start painting!

See? Coloring is that simple!

SHADOWS AND SHİNE

The final step is adding shadows and shines.

Now I'll show you how to add both shadows and shines on the same layer.

Here, I’m applying a shadow effect quickly with a different technique. First, I copy and paste the layer I initially selected. Then, I change its blending mode to Hard Light. Finally, I pick any gray tone and use the Fill Tool to color the selected layer.

CTRL+C > CTRL+V

BLENDİNG MODE >HARD LİGHT

Now, we take the Eraser Tool and erase the areas where we want the light to be.

Final step! For a smoother gradient shading, use a slightly darker gray tone with your brush and blend it with a blend brush for a seamless transition.

If you don't want the colors to mix while painting with your brush, lock your layer like this. This way, your painting won't mix with other layers.
