Hi guys! Here is my tips to work in watercolor and gouache techniques, where you can see the texture and difference on paper. First i chose A4 standard size. Layer number one i used for crayon sketch of my flower, before use a colors.

Step two is add watercolor for background using wet wash and after cleaning areas with watery brush on the chamomile. This will give you contrast effect and also showing better the paper texture.

After using washing brush I touched the petals with wet wash brush purple colour, created third layer for airbrush. This action will add magic light and neon look. What made this flower more mystery and interesting.

Back to the layer with backgroundd colours. On the airbrush layer, was creater also linework with gouache brush dark blue, I blurred petals to made more 3D looks and volume used kneaded eraser. This gave a cloudy and soft effect.

For more details and moon lights better to try the gouache techniques in category of brush thick paint as you can see on the screenshot. Because of watercolor background and goache you can see how interesting its mixed and creating a new feelings.

The great step is emphasise the texture with detalisation. Gouache dark blue plus violet blended together and showes a new colour, which softly drawing the flower factures.

The last tip for completing the drawing to highlight the flower from the darkness of the background and apply the final touches to the washed out areas, using brush oil paint.
