Adjusting the character
After leaving it for a bit, there are some parts I want to change. I’ll make the final adjustments to the character, including some new details and color corrections.
The color of the armor and the clothing was too similar and it feels subtle, so I changed the color of the armor to purple.
Color corrections
I make a new layer in the “color adjustments” folder and adjust the overall colors.
I merge the color adjustment layers that I made at the rough draft stage and set the blending mode to [Add (Glow)]. I’ll adjust this at the very end, so for now I hide the layer.
The character is lit from behind, so I add a soft halo of light behind her with the [Airbrush] tool > [Soft].
Adjusting all the colors on a “color adjustment” layer helps to make the character look like she’s part of the scene with the background.
This is how it looks so far.
