How to make tropical greeting cards
Intro
Have you ever went on holiday & wanted to write to someone you know but you didn't know what to put on you card? Then this tip is for you! I will be explaining the basics of a postcard & how to make one! But this isn't any postcard! It's a tropical postcard!
Anyways, let's start drawing!
The process
Here's the brushes I used
Drawing tropical stuff
I will now add a step by step guide to making a tropical leaf. This is optional but I highly recommend it because it will set this tropical vibe to your card
After following these steps, you can add details to your drawing!
There's lots of images online you can search up for you tropical greeting card. Just remember, if you're gonna trace a photo from online, make sure it's not another artist's work!
Typography
Typography is a form of art through text! The text can be fancy with Typography! The reason I'm talking about Typography is because you need it to make designs on products like t-shirts and other stuff. Using Typography in cards is the professional way to do it! Here's the types of writing below for Typography!
They can be in different styles to make the text pop!
These are the filters I would recommend for typography!
The art process
1st make a canvas. The size is down below
I recommend putting the unit to inches to have better printing!
Then add a sketch. It doesn't have to look good after all, it is a sketch!
Before the sketch you should brainstorm ideas for your tropical card. I've chosen a monkey holding a mango! Feel free to look up any pictures for your tropical card!
Then I paint over the sketch for color
Keep in mind, you should mostly use painterly stuff because it will have a better effect on the card!
If you do use vector then put minimal detail. Leave a comment on how you like making cards!
Brainstorming ideas for a tropical greeting card prompt
You should find the sentence you feel comfortable with on your card. Here's the examples for ideas!
Leave a comment for a sentence you would put for your card!
I'm going to add text now! I'm doing it in cursive
Then I add the effect I want! This one is a border
I adjusted the text to make the outline thick
Now this is optional but you can add a frame around your drawing! Make sure it's behind the text though!
1st for the border is the draft. I used the same draft as before
Then the line art
And coloring! I also adjust the size of the border
Not border! edge! I made a typo there
That's all for today. Thank you for reading!\(^-^)/
Thank you for reading! I hope you learned something from this tip! Bye!
