About color

There are two types of "brush tools": "fixed color" type and "color changeable" type that reflects drawing color and sub drawing color.

This time, I will create a "color changeable decoration brush".

Brush tip

First, draw a picture to use for the “brush tip image”. This time, I made something like this "star mark".

Here, if the "Expression color" of the "Layer property" of the target layer is a color, create a brush that can not change the color, so make sure that the "Expression color" is "Gray" .

(Color layer if you want to create a fixed color brush)

In this case, we will register one simple picture, but it may be more complicated or multiple. It is not possible to register as a brush tip when selecting multiple layers. (Even if it is a vector layer, it is the same. In both cases, you can simply register.) Separate layers and register individually or use the selection area You. When registering with a selection, the area of the selection is also registered as information.

Registered for brush tip

Click "Image" in the "Edit" category "Register Material".

Enter a descriptive name in "Material properties", check "Use as brush tip shape" in "Material settings for brush", select an arbitrary location in "Material save destination", and click "OK".

You can also register the material by dragging and dropping the layer to the material palette, but in that case, double-click on the material in the material palette (or click the gear icon at the bottom of the palette with the material selected in the material palette) In "Material Properties", check "Use as brush tip shape" and click "OK".

Prepare brush tool

If you just want to use it, you should just replace the tip image of the existing brush tool with the one created this time, but here we will prepare from scratch. That is safer.

 

Click the "Horizontal Three Lines" mark on the sub tool palette and click "Create Custom Sub Tool".

Set any name in "Create custom sub tool", set "Output processing" to "Direct drawing" and "Input processing" to "Brush". "Tool icon" selected "decoration". Click “OK”.

This time, set the "Brush density" of the "Brush tip" item to 100.

Click the "Material" tab of the "Brush tip" item, and click the area immediately below it that says "Click here to add a tip shape".

You can also click the icon with a plus sign below it.

Enter the name given to the material in the search field of "Selection of brush tip shape". When the desired material is displayed, click it to select it and click "OK".

Adjustment

Once you have registered the brush tip, set the “Interval” in the “Stroke” item to “Fixed” to get the desired stroke.

Also adjust the brush size.

Make a change

Let's reflect the pen pressure on the brush size.

Do you see that strength can be added?

Here, increase the brush size a little and turn off the pen pressure.

If you check the "Ribbon" of "Stroke" item, it will be connected perfectly like this. It is better to draw straight with "Shift + click" etc. because it is easy to bend when bending. (If there is space in the material itself, it will not be connected neatly.)

This time, check "Scatter effect" in the "Scatter effect" item. (It seems that the ribbon is invalid when the scatter effect is on.) Here we set the particle size etc. like this.

You can draw in a spray.

When "Spraying effect" is on, the size of each grain is adjusted by "Particle size", not by brush size.

Use with color layers

As mentioned above, it is a brush that uses the brush tip registered as a gray layer, so it reflects the selected color. (If you draw with the sub drawing color selected, it will be drawn in one color.)

Various combinations.

If you can customize the tool to your favorite settings, click "Horizontal Three Lines" on the sub tool palette and click "Register to initial settings".

When selling at ASSETS

(Please read the rules carefully.) Click "Horizontal Three Lines" on the sub tool palette, and click "Register sub tool as material".

Select a destination to save the material and click "OK".

(You can also register by dragging and dropping on the material palette.)
