■ 1: Basic method of my style manga

● 10. Pen holder

Characters and mechas are created by separating layers for each part.

·Reason···

・ Folder structure

・ Pen pencil case format

■ 2: Operational engineering

● Pen holder

The manga process explained so far is page-by-page, such as the object (character / mecha), background, etc.

It is not a uniform implementation, and after the name, a specific character is the most from the first page.

Perform until the last page, then perform the same processing for other characters and mechas

I'm taking ill. The same applies to the background, etc.

● "Character / Mecha" folder structure (for monochrome)

Shows the folder structure for the character you are using.

This is a basic form, and if you use a special layer, add it.

At least two types of tones are available.

This is fine for the mecha, but depending on the mecha, the names of the head, hands, body, and feet that are the parts may be

If it does not suit you, give it a specific name and use it.

● Landscape folder structure

The contents conform to the "character folder structure".

● Folder structure for full color

I don't use much for full color.

If you refer to the "face" folder for monochrome, the * part in the figure below is often used for color.

You will set the layer.

● Folder structure for gray

The gray version conforms to the "full color folder".

● Folder structure for color using the Grisaille method

Simply speaking, the grisaille painting method is a composite layer above the image drawn with shades of gray.

Color with color and automatically create shades of color according to shades of gray

It is a painting method.

<Supplementary explanation>

(1) Take a selection range of the area to be colored and record it.

(2) Light gray to prevent unpainted areas from remaining white when applying shades of gray

Color it uniformly with.

③ Draw shades of gray with a special pen that works with pen pressure.

Specify "black" or "white" as the color and draw 0 to 100% shades by pen pressure.

④ Select and use the layers in the folder corresponding to the composition mode you want to use in order.

Coloring is performed on one selected area.

Since you may want to reuse the color later, the color in the FFFFFF part of "color 0xFFFFFF"

It is convenient to enter the number in hexagonal display.

Hexa display is a decimal expression for each of R, G, and B of "R-G-B" (red-green-blue).

16 (hexa) pieces from 0 to 15 are expressed in hexagons 0 to 9, A (= 10), B (= 11), C (= 12), D (= 13),

It is indicated by E (= 14) and F (= 15).

Example: Red = FF0000, Green = 00FF00, Blue = 0000FF

The composition mode is specified in advance for the folder.

When ① to ④ are completed, the same process will be executed for the selection area of the next part.

Next, the folder structure of the grisaille enamel created in the example is shown.

<Supplementary explanation>

① Selection folder for color

Shows the monochrome character before colorization, the selection range of the "head", and the folder structure.

Selection range head 00

Select the range of the line art from the head of the monochrome character and take the selection range.

Selection range head 01

Take the entire selection range from the head.

Delete the selection range head 00 from the entire selection range.

Selection range head 02

Delete all but the face from the selection range head 01.

Use this selection range to color your face.

Selection range head 03

Delete all but hair from the selection range head 01.

Use this selection range to color your hair.

Folder for shades of gray

Shows the folder structure and fill status of the layers ② and ③ for shades of gray.

④ Folder for composition mode

The drawing state at each stage when using the composition mode is shown.

・ Folder structure when using composite mode

・ Monochrome character before colorization

・ Color before using composite mode

・ State at the time of completion

● Pens and brushes: Main items registered in the sub tool

● Pens and brushes: Main items registered in the sub tool

● Line art type and layer type to use

It is a Big Field style usage.

This does not limit whether this is correct or incorrect.

It may have changed tomorrow!

◆ Rough classification of pens used

・ G pen

Used as the main line to draw the outline of the character.

If there is no particular problem, use the vector layer.

Draw a human-like line by adding strength to the line with the pen pressure.

Used for soft objects targeting plants and flowers.

Utilize pens of several thicknesses as in analog manga.

・ Round pen

Use as a pen to draw details that do not require strength or weakness in the line and do not require entry and exit.

Use a few different thickness pens as in analog manga.

・ Milli-pen ・ Marker ・ Graphic tool

Used for inorganic metallic objects such as mecha.

・ Watercolor brushes, oil painting brushes, brushes

Mainly landscapes, etc. are not drawn with crisp and thin lines, but with the feeling of painting flat

I want to take good care of it.

Of course, it is also used for painting characters and mecha.

・ Pens and brushes for special effects

For interesting pens and brushes that have special functions and cannot be compared with analog manga

It is very intriguing to meet and see what kind of usability it is.

In order to experience this excitement, be careful with CLIP STUDIO ASSETS etc. on a daily basis

You need to pay.

◆ Registered for quick access

・ G pen

It is a standard pen even in analog manga.

I love it because it is a familiar pen.

・ Round pen

It is a standard pen even in analog manga.

Used for drawing details.

・ Kabra pen

It is a standard pen even in analog manga.

・ School pen (diverted from Comista)

It is a standard pen even in analog manga.

For some reason, it was not standard equipment in Crysta, so I converted it from Comista.

I'm using something.

・ Drawing pencil

Mainly used for draft layers.

・ Dark pencil

Since it has darker eyes than the drawing pencil, it is used for the punchy pencil drawing part.

It is.

・ Milli-pen

It is used for the part that sustains a line of a certain thickness.

Use another marker pen when you need a line that is almost constant and has a habit.

・ Calligraphy

I use it when I need a fountain pen-like touch line.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

・ Peta-painted pen

It is used when and where you want to apply it solidly.

・ Flat

Used for the part where you want to add light and shade.

You can draw while adjusting the density with the pen pressure.

Often used for both black and white drawing.

Since it is monochrome manga oriented, draw it as a gray layer and finally tone it

Used as monochrome

・ Opaque watercolor

Used for the same purpose as flat.

・ Sharp watercolor extension

Used when adjusting the boundary area after using flat or opaque watercolor.

・ Painting & familiarization

Used when adjusting the boundary area after using flat or opaque watercolor.

● Utilization of decoration

The function that was called a pattern brush in Comista is called decoration in Crysta.

So unify to this name.

There are other names, so I would like to clarify.

・ Decoration (Crysta standard)

・ DL brush (download brush)

・ Pattern brush (Comista standard)

・ Deco brush (decoration brush)

When using decorations frequently, there are too many decorations, so the layer to use

The following items so that you can easily check how to decide, the existing management location, and the display image.

Make it possible to use it in consideration of it.

・ The drawing image can be seen.

・ Know the type of layer to be generated when using it.

・ It is easy to move to the location of the sub tool.

・ It is clear that the conversion / download is available from the CSP standard / Crysta.

・ When using a new layer, add a layer for the next use.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

-------------------------------------------------- -----------------------------------------

For the release of this TIPS, at least a tool in a folder instead of a layer

・ Add a history function to reproduce the tools used in the recording and reading processing.

I think it's good.

■ 3: Masking

● General logical operation processing

When there are areas A and B, the display area in each logical operation process is indicated by ■.

・ Logical product (AND) ・ Negative logical product (NAND)

・ Logical sum (OR) ・ Negative OR (NOR)

・ Logical difference (negative) (NOT) ・ Exclusive OR (EOR / XOR)

◆ Theorem of logic

Typically,

V (OR) for sum, ∧ (AND) for product,-(NOT) for difference, ┐ (NOT) for negation, ...

There are books that use the symbols.

_

There is also a book that describes ¬A as A, but it is difficult to describe it in the text.

Not used here.

Here, V (OR) and ∧ (AND) are easily confused and ┐ (NOT) is difficult to write.

I personally use + (OR), (AND) and / (NOT).

● What is a layer?

It is an image of a transparent sheet.

Maximum number of layers that can be used = 999

I don't think it will decrease even if it increases in the future.

If you draw in opaque color on the upper layer with overlapping layers, the lower layer will be hidden

is. If you draw in a non-opaque color, the layers below will be displayed according to the frequency.

When naming a layer, it is only a layer and a layer folder, so each time it is "XXX

Name it "XXX" instead of "I don't like it". (Self-style)

● What is a layer folder?

It is an image like a file for a binder that stores layers.

It is a container for storing layers.

It is abbreviated as "folder". (Self-style)

When naming a layer folder, it is only a layer and a layer folder, so for distinction

Name only the folder "XXX folder". (Self-style)

● Processing that does not rely on layer masks 1

◆ How to actually delete unnecessary parts outside the frame

・ Be prepared that the deleted part will never be returned!

● Processing that does not rely on layer masks 2

◆ How to cut out unnecessary parts outside the frame and hide them

・ Cut and paste unnecessary parts to hide them.

・ Since it is not actually deleted, it can be reused later.

However, the number of extra hidden layers and folders will increase.

● Layer mask processing

◆ How to mask unnecessary parts outside the frame

・ Select unnecessary parts for drawing and use the target layer

Execute "Select-> Right-click-> Layer mask-> Mask selection".

◆ How to remove the mask

・ Right-click the mask icon of the layer and execute "Delete Mask".

● What is masking on a layer?

Actually delete layers and folders like the above-mentioned "processing that does not rely on layer masks"

"Non-destructive processing" instead of "destructive processing" to hide or cut out

It is provided. It is a method that can be easily restored if necessary.

The layer is directly masked.

● What is masking on the layer folder?

Mask processing to the layer folder as explained in "What is masking to a layer?"

It is for doing.

Mask processing extends to all layers stored in the folder.

● Creating a mask

● Mask related operations

● Copy from mask folder to layer

・ The mask applied to the layer folder is applied to all layers in that folder.

It is a method to apply.

Drop the mask of the folder on the layer you want to mask while holding down the ALT key

Then you can copy the mask.

● How to create a mask area

When taking a selection range of the detailed part of drawing, a simple rectangle, polygonal line or ellipse works well

It may not go.

At that time, a "quick mask" that can convert the drawing to a selection range

Use "stock selection" (return from stock selection).

<Convenient function that can convert drawing to a selection range>

・ Quick mask

Menu: Selection range → Quick mask

・ Stock the selection range (return from the stock selection range)

Menu: Selection range → Stock selection range

Menu: Selection range → Return from stocked selection range
