You can easily create watercolor or canvas-like expressions by using "Texture composition" of the image material layer of Crysta.

Required software: CLIP STUDIO PAINT

Prepare an illustration

First, prepare a base illustration.

This time I tried apples (what I think).

Place the image material layer on top of the layer palette

"Texture composition" can only be used for image material layers.

I think that the textures of "color pattern" and "monochromatic pattern" recorded in CLIP STUDIO PAINT can be used in a relatively nice way.

 

This time, I set "Single color pattern"> "Mermaid" in the material palette.

It's not a fascinating raw foot, but a "mermaid" of watercolor paper.

I feel like this.

It will be dark at this rate, so I will adjust it.

Set texture composition

With the image material layer selected, press "Texture composition" in the "Layer Properties" palette> "Effects".

• If you cannot find the Layer Property Palette, you can find it by searching from the "Window" menu!

If you press "Texture composition", it will look like this ↑ (Strength is 30)

Adjust further

You can increase the effect by changing the "Strength" in the layer properties.

↑ I set the strength to "100".

 

 

Let's change the layer composition mode and opacity in the layer palette to the desired state.

★ Overlay + opacity 93%

 

★ Screen + opacity 86%

You can resize the texture by moving the green button on the image material layer.

Try using various textures

You can make various expressions depending on the texture you use!

 

TIPS to change texture

If you want to change the texture, the "Replace" button on Crysta's material palette is convenient.

It can also be used conveniently when using tones.
