GATHERING REFERENCES

I didn't spend a lot of time on this mood board.

Here are the projects that served as the foundation to my understanding.

CONCEPTING THE IDEA

To concept something, you don't have to imagine everything or create by yourself.

In this one, I used my angry girlfriend as a base for the mood of the character, and with a little bit of imagination, I made the first sketch thinking about her holding the cooking tools.

That's where the mood board and references come to play.

SKETCHING

To make her horns I used an exercise that I learned on an anime course, its simple, you just have to connect the balls and make the inner lines to see the 3d form.

Of course, I used a goad cranium as a reference.

PAINTING AND COOL STUFF

Ok ok, this is the fun part of making a character. Make them look alive!

So that part I will be on the timelapse video that I uploaded on youtube.

Go check it out if want to see the whole process of this piece.

Of course, I didn't explain every part of the character like the armor, the spear, her satchel... Because the Character itself is the demon girl.

But I can resume my whole process in 3 parts;

Block in - General shapes

Modeling - Adding from to these general shapes

Refining - With a smaller brush, craving details and make it looks great!

Even on the early steps, I'm thinking of the same process, I like to go adding details as I go.
