Welcome!

Hello guys! I'm Lashie !!!

In this tutorial I will explain in a simple way the Automatic Coloring!

It is my first time doing a tutorial in Clip Studio Paint and I hope you like it.

I was inspired by the themes of:

♡ The Horoscope in this case, Geminis (since it's mine ♡).

♡ The Princesses of Gems: Rose Quartz (called Roze) and Blue Quartz (called Sapphire).

Note: Characters created for the tutorial!

♡ The Galaxy (with pastel shades).

Open your Lineart!

To start, open a skecth or Lineart that you have Ready to COLOR!

Usually I make the LineArt black, and later I paint it, but you can do it in the color that is most comfortable for you.

I love wearing lots of layers !!!

So I will use one for the skin and the hair, another for the clothes and finally the bottom.

I recommend it as I feel that it is more organized and easier to locate.

Besides that if you like, in the end you can color the lineart much faster.

Learn how to use Automatic Coloring Part 1 [Hair]

Painting time!!!

In this case the first thing I am going to paint would be the hair of both girls.

AutoColor is very simple, the next steps to follow are:

1. Select the LineArt you want to paint and place the Reference Layer Option [Icon to the Left of the Layer].

2. Then you add another layer underneath [We will use this one for painting].

3. Click on the Color layer [As seen in the image]

[Reference Image below]

4. Select [Edit]

5. Click on [Coloring (Technology Preview)]

3 different options are opened.

I recommend using the option of the medium [Apply Selected Colors] to color the Hair, since it gives a blurred and soft effect.

6. Choose Option [Apply Selected Colors].

(≧ ω ≦)

Do not worry if the Lineart color is out, it can be easily deleted!

The Layer we use to place the Colors will stay but will not be shown.

(Blue Rectangle)

The New Layer is usually Placed Above the Lineart, but I usually lower it to another [Color Folder}. (Pink Rectangle)

[Below is a look at the process of erasing the colors that came out of the Lineart]

Learn how to use Automatic Coloring Part 2 [Clothes]

We continue painting !!!

After painting the hair, we paint the clothes!

They are the same steps to follow from 1 to 5 [Like when we paint the hair], but this time Step 6 changes.

3 different options are opened.

I recommend using the Last Option [Advanced Settings (I)] to color the clothes, since you can modify how much coverage you want the color to have and it is a more customizable choice.

6. Choose the [Advanced Settings] Option.

It is fascinating because you can edit every color you used.

I chose 5 colors and you can easily edit each one!

Plus you have other options like change Blur, Accuracy and Fade]

Just watch this!

It is so simple and useful!

Since it saves the time of painting with just a few clicks.

For example:

The Color Number 5 I chose, if I download it [Pink Circle] it does not cover much space [Pink Box}.

But if we upload it, it will cover more space in the drawing!

For this reason the option of [Advanced Settings] is my recommendation to paint the clothes, because you can have a very personalized edition.

Half the colored drawing in such a short time!

Great, right?

You can give shine and shade to your drawing with a soft and blurred effect.

Note: I painted the skin with a marker and gave it a little shade!

Learn how to use Automatic Coloring Part 3 [Background]

To finish we will paint the background with galaxy style!

The steps to follow are the same for the hair!

Add pastel colors (the stroke does not have to be perfect, since the automatic coloring will take care of giving it a special touch).

The [Selected Colors (H)] option preferably for backgrounds (a blur effect in just seconds).

Note: Remember to delete what came out of the Lineart and that's it!

[Reference image below the process of deleting what came out.]

To finish, give your unique style to your drawing!

I added details to the drawing! [not many because I was almost ready. (-‿‿-)]

In my case, I colored the lineart, painted the missing circles and crowns and added glitter!

I also gave it a retro effect that I really like ( ¯ ³¯ ) ♡

I fell in love with my drawing! ♡ \ ( ̄ ▽ ̄) / ♡

Thank you!
