Draw profile head from an easy square
Hello everyone, I have seen that most people draw starting with a circle, so I decided to show how I do it with a square, since it is easier for me.
(I will make a brief written explanation but I will leave here the video tutorial that I have uploaded to Youtube.)
To start I draw a square and divide it in the following way until it is left in 16 little squares.
Then we start drawing the face
1: I usually start with the ear since it is in the center, I place it in the third vertical and horizontal square.
2: then above I draw a slightly curved line in the center, the head is not round like a ball but somewhat flattened.
3: I follow with a bow to the center line.
4: And I finish the back of the skull in the corner of the next square below.
5: Now for the forehead we make another curve from where we left it to the center line.
6: Here we make a small inward curve that will be the beginning of the nose, and it will occupy the entire box below, the base of the nose will end in the line:
7: in the box below we will put the lips and the chin, each part occupying half of the box (half for the lips and the other half for the chin)
8: The jaw will be a line to the ear.
9: I remove the neck from the second and fourth lines, let's remember that the neck is not straight but leans back.
10: The eye looks like an elongated D, and is located below the middle line, taking care not to put it too close to the nose or exceed the square where it is located.
11: finally the second line indicates the hairline.
and that's it
In the video it is more detailed in case you have any questions :)
I hope it has helped you
bye!
