introduction!

Hi i'm tae!

This is my first time doing a tutorial so I hope this will somehow help you guys :)

I've been using Clip studio paint for more than a year and still figuring out the whole program myself!

Now I'm showing you guys tips on making decoration brush (i'm making it the shortest and easiest to understand because i saw a lot of long explanation on how to making brushes) beside i will show you guys how i use the brush afterward as well!

This is the feature i used the most in CSP lol It's so convenience!

let's get to work!

First thing first!

Draw the shape you desire (round, square, star, heart, etc.)

As for me, this time i'm making a star brush hehe :)

step 1. draw the image to make a brush tip

now that we done the image!

you don't need to save the image if you doesn't want to tho!

 

repeat drawing all the images you desire! for me i done like 5 different stars

step 2. saving materials

after you finish all the images for the brush tip, you gotta save them as materials!

 

go to EDIT > REGISTER MATERIAL > IMAGE...

thennnnn

when the window pop up (as image shows)

NAME IT > ALL MATERIAL > IMAGE MATERIAL > BRUSH

set a tag below like #star #yourname #etc to make sure you can find it easier later!

repeat to all the image AND REMEMBER TO SET YOUR [ LAYER EXPRESSION ] INTO GRAY!

if you wish your brush will change color like how you wanted later on ;)

step 3. making the brush

after done registering all of your materials...

go to the drop-down icon next to the [ sub tool [pen] ]

select CREATE CUSTOM SUB TOOL > WINDOW POP UP AND FILL IT

when the brush appears on your tool window, select the setting icon below.

select your brush type > apply to brush shape

add the material you just saved in the order that you like

duplicate the image so they can go random

do not pick the CONTINUOUS SPRAYING or it will look like a normal brush instead of a decorating brush :o

you can change any setting as to your liking!

AND THEN YOU DONE WITH MAKING A BRUSH!

this is my result of the brush!

AND NOW !!! WE GO TO THE PART WHERE IT'S FUNNNNNNN! ;)

I will draw a simple chibi and show you guys how i use the decorating star brush in it!

line art: i use the default crayon brush!

and i did the coloring! (this is a gif file hehe)

using the star brush i just made for the clothes pattern and extra decoration outside!

anddd the finished product!!!!!!!

some tips when i draw:

• color your lineart afterward to make your art more 'soft'

• use overlay as a filter!!! (i use a lot of overlay in my art xD )
