Introduction

In this tutorial, I will show you how to draw a pretty warrior princess. I used a magic circle by Solange000, and a space image material and brush set by Kirinose. You can download them from here:

Drawing the body

For this character, I am going to draw her in a position where she is holding a sword. This can be a tricky position, so make sure to get the proportions right.

Drawing the clothes and hair

Now we are going to draw the clothes and hair. It's important that you do a warrior-looking outfit, but that is still well put together and stylish. Draw the sword widest at the top, and thinnest at the bottom.

Adding flat colour

Now we are going to start adding the base colours. Use colours like dark purple, emerald green or wine red to get a princessy look. You can stop at this point if you want.

Shading and highlights

This stage can be tricky, especially with the shading and highlights of the metal. I recommend looking at an image of real metal to help you. Or, you can do simple highlights.

Background and magic effect

Now I used the appearance effect and space image that you can download at the top in the background. I used these, but you can use whatever background you like to give your character a different theme! You can also play around with the colour of the images by using Ctrl+U.

Finished

Now it's finished! You can always carry on adding things not mentioned in the tutorial to get a better looking character. Have fun!
