Good morning? This time it's me.

I have long loved scary stories with ghosts. So today I am going to draw a ghost.

Set

There are many ghosts in the world. For example, in the East, there are nine tailed foxes, virgin ghosts, Kangxi, bachelor ghosts, rokurokubi, and goblins, while in the West there are witches, goblins, boogiemen, slendermen, etc.

I'm going to draw one of the famous Yokai in the East, a mixture of Kangxi and Gumiho. (Kangxi is a Chinese youkai, and a Gumiho is a nine-tailed fox youkai from China, Korea, and Japan.)

rough

Create a new canvas.

Before drawing the rough, set the pose and simply draw the shape on the 'Shape' layer.

I reduced the opacity of the 'Shape' layer to 30%, added a new layer and named this layer 'Body Rough'. I draw the body pose on the 'rough body' layer.

Next, I add a 'Rough Clothes' layer and draw clothes on it. I drew Chinese clothes with slight variations.

Add a 'rough hair' layer. And then draw the hair on that layer.

Finally, draw the ears and tail of the nine tailed fox and the rough is complete.

Consolidate all rough layers.

Add a new layer. And draw a line art on that layer.

This is the finished line drawing.

coloring

I will start coloring from now on. Fill another layer with a solid color using the [Fill] tool.

There was a strange part, so I corrected the line art. Use the fill tool to paint over the 'color' layer.

Add a 'shadow' layer.

Then I paint the overall shadows and highlights.

The tail is painted as above to express the fluffy texture.

With the [Airbrush] tool, I paint around the eyes with a red color.

Blur with [Window]-[Blur]-[Gaussian Blur]

I also paint the lips.

Finally, highlight the areas marked in blue.

The clothes are also highlighted using an overlay layer.

Then paint the sleeves as shown below.

1. Fill in the lineart. (At this time, if you draw the line art of the thing below, the fabric will look more transparent.)

2. Add a new layer and paint as above with the [Airbrush]-[Soft] tool.

3. Change the properties of the layer painted with the [Airbrush] tool to 'Overlay'.

4. Blur with the [Blur] tool.

I painted the sleeves as above.

Coloring is complete.
