I want to share with you how complete the Clip Studio Paint timelapse with Davinci resolve to upload my content to the internet. This is specifically for the format now shared by almost all social networks. I usually use it for Tiktok, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and even WhatsApp all share the format now 9:16 so I think it is a very useful format. For those of us who are small on social networks and sharing any content on all of our networks means "free" diffusion and less work for us.

What do we need from Davinci Resolve? We will use it to add audio and the static image of the final result for 5 seconds at the end of our timelapse, since the timelapse does not allow us to appreciate the final piece. This can also be done with the EX version of CSP that allows us to make animations, add audio, in addition to exporting in .mp4 but the truth is that this process can take more time since it is not the specialty of CSP and I have not delved into it. in animation functions. Davinci Resolve is a software that has a free version for video editing which is sufficient for many things but above all for what we need to do. You can google it and find it very easily. I will not delve into that.

Before starting our piece it is important to activate the option to Record Timelapse, since if it is not activated, I will not be able to export the timelapse.

 

File> Timelapse> Record Timelapse

Once you have finished your piece we are going to use the option below, "Export timelapse":

File> Timelapse> Export Timelapse

Now we are going to choose the options that are most suitable for us. Usually all networks support short videos of 60-59 seconds. But Instagram is a bit special at times and it deactivates the option and it is content that may not captivate you for a long time, so I decide to exploit it in 30sec that we will later modify in Davinci. We will also choose the highest quality 1280px and finally the 9:16 format which is the standard for most cell phones to this day.

Then it will give you to choose the folder where you want to save it, I keep them in order to keep them in a folder where I put "No sound" so as not to confuse it with the final product later.

Don't forget to save your image in JPGE or PNG instagram sometimes doesn't allow us to share in PNG so the most common format is JPGE. Thus, in addition to your video, you can share your Art on the Instagram feed as well as Facebook, which is widely distributed and WhatsApp also allows us the image format.

Ready now that we have our files we will go directly to Davinci Resolve and create a new project.

We choose the name of the project

Now we will only drag files from our folder to the multimedia panel

In my case I will add a musical track that I made as background music. You can do it with the tools provided by Instagram or Tiktok. So in my case it is 3 files

We will calmly drag our .mp4 video to the timeline, until it appears in it. Sometimes if you do it, the program doesn't do it, I don't really understand why.

We will go to the configuration of the timeline that has just appeared.

We will click on custom settings to change the format

And we will choose this format 1080 x 1920

We will right click on our track and click on change speed

We will place 120% speed so that the duration is reduced to 25 seconds and we accept.

Before adding the other files we will go to the edit tab.

Now we return to the Montage tab and we will drag our finished image and our music track (if we have one) to the timeline. With Shift + Mouse Wheel you can move on the timeline, so that you place the image at the end.

We deactivate the option "attract head" which is the image of a magnet so that the time bar can be placed exactly in 30 seconds. We will check on the left side that this indicates 30 seconds.

We place the cursor at the end of our image until we see that the cursor is transformed like this. And we drag to where we place the time bar, so that it fits perfectly in 30 seconds

We use the blade to cut the track

We will cut the audio where we want it to start.

We right click on the part that we want to delete and we click on "Delete selected" If we delete it or delete and propagate, the video will also be deleted.

We go through dragging the audio track

We cut again right at the end of our Video Track

Here we can make use of delete or either of the two options by selecting the part that we do not want.

We will do a fade in and fade out for the audio track so that the music does not sound so suddenly, we select these white part and drag it to where we want the volume to rise completely.

And now we will drag the circle that is in the center to give it a curvature and be more subtle

It is time to export, we go to the delivery tab in the bottom bar.

We place this configuration, mp4, h.264 and in this case the resolution we are looking for is 1080x120 and we choose the location where we want our file.

We add to the processing queue

We go to the right side and find our file and select the Render option.

And we will have finished when we see in the state this:
