I. Introduction.

\( ˙▿˙ )/\( ˙▿˙ )/ Hello Guys! This is my first post!	\( ˙▿˙ )/\( ˙▿˙ )/

So--- Talk about the eyes, the so-called 'soul windows' of each person. Because of this, the eyes are always an easy place to attract and make us most interested in meeting someone or looking at a picture of the character.

As for how to draw an eye, there are a lot of materials, from simple, basic instructions to complex and detailed instructions. So I will not go into too many things that most people have mentioned anymore and will not mention the eyes when looking at different angles.

I want to emphasize the different styles when you draw it so I'll just use the straight ahead view so that you can easily see it.

II. Basic structure.

To draw eyes, you need to know the basics first.

Include:

  • The ratio of the face to other parts.

  • Basic structure of the eyes.

So I will draw with easiest way for you to understand what I mean (Ò v Ó)/

And here's a simple open/close eye movement so you can visualize about the eyes.

Let's try to combining these motions into a short loop animation (U v U)b

The size of eyes shape can also tell a lot of other information about the character (including age, gender).

It is also important to show your emotions or personality through the eyes, but as mentioned above, I won't mention too deeply about the knowledge that many of the other tutorials have done very well and well enough.

So let's go to the next part! ヾ(´〇`)ノ♪

III. The eyes under different drawing styles.

With the knowledge from reality and through what we can learn, it is not necessary when you draw eyes for the character to be too restrictive in the rules.

Among the basic rules we choose to follow, there is still room for creativity.

Let's take a look at some examples ◟( • ω • )◞

As you can see.

Through the hands of each artist, each eye has similar but still very different points.

The eyes in the classic works will be different from the eyes drawn in the style of manga/anime. Eyes drawn in comic style may also be different from those in a children's book illustration style.

Depending on what you want to show and your interests, you can draw and create eyes of 'more of your own' shades.

Because you see, the character's eyes are also the windows of the artist's soul (・∀・)ノ

IV. Be creative and have fun with that.

Before 'playing around' with colors we will only talk about art-lines. That's why you see, for my post, most of the illustrations are not colorful paintings.

You can try to be creative with your eyes under your pen and fill them with sparkling colors.

Don't forget that while there are some basic fundamentals.. but they don't necessarily follow the rules completely!

It's like the eyes of an Asian character who doesn't really only have dark tones if you want it to follow other colors. Or a pair of eyes need not only have a color in it. If you want, you can bring a rainbow to your eyes (⊃。•́‿•̀。)⊃━☆’.・.・:★’.・.・:☆

V. The last few words.

Honestly, there's not too much good knowledge or tips in this post.

What I want to convey most in this post is about creativity and joy when you draw them on pages (yes, or on your wacom/tablet).

I just feel too many people have forgotten the joy of drawing and being so strict with yourself about the principles and pressures.

Me too. After drawing for nearly fifteen years, and also making money with this profession .. Sometimes I can not draw because I'm so scared of many things that forget the true joy when I hold a pen and draw.

I'm not sure how much this post will help you, but I hope that those who have read this post and want to live with their passion for drawing will always be happy and healthy.

And do not forget 'yourself' when you go for a long time on 'this road'.

Thank you when you read through these lines.

Have a nice day.
