I will be giving Simple tips on How and when to use Screen Tones

But Before the we actuallly Start here is an Example on How im #UsingScreentones On Csp(Where to find it)

First select any area on your Workplace then go New tone👇

After That you have the option to Choose various typse of Screentones(You can choose any doesn't really matter now), After choosing it will cover your Selected area and tour pen will start painting in the tone you Chose....

Now Lets Start!!

•Draw your Character

Of Course The first thing you need to do is Design your character, after your done with the Sketch , Lineart you are set to go It doesn't need to look that good as you can see in my Illustration👇 i just Drew a simple character Without Much Details Because our goals is to Use Screentones

•Light Source

For this Example i want to show how Screentones are one of the best "Tool" For Black and Withe Illustrations so you need a light Source and Indicate The Darker places where the shade will be.

•Using Screentones

The Brightest The Light the Darker the Shades so i Like to cover all of her Body, so you only need to cover any random place

Go to New Tones And choose the one you like the most and hit ok, If i Had to talk about every tipe it would take to long so you will have to test on your own

After Choosing Automatically you Pen Will be writting in the format of the tone you Chose and use it to Cover your character

After that we gonna Light it.... so just look at your Right Inferior Corner and you will have the layer with your Illustration(Green dot) and the Tone layer(Blue dot), then you need to create a layer between them...

After Creating it You need to combine the Tone layer with the one you just created

After combining it you will have a normal layer where you will be able to use your Pen,Airbrush,etc.👇

Then Use your Airbrush tool to Glow your illustration for this you need to have a basic understanding of light and shades for example in my case the light coming from the so the lines there will be smaller or transparent and i wiped all the dot where the light is reaching👇

And the just to Emphasize more your illustration you need a Background(But i didnt want to draw one so i just used Screentones and Retro text fonts to make it look.. like something😃...I was just lazy😔) But will talk about screentones on Backgrounds later👍

And then i Just used everything i said before But this time there was light coming from diffrent directions

I used the screentones to make my illustration look darker in your to show that the Red is Glowing stronger(Compare it)👇

Screentones and Motion

Another Illustration!

This time not really too much about Screetones but there are some tool that i think help me give more "Presence" in my Illustrations and i like to Combine ti with screentones... after Drawing the Backgroung i like to use the blur tool to make my Illustration look more Dynamic and use Screentones to make the color difference👇

To Make this Dynamic background you only need to go to filter»blur»radical or Motion blur(make sure that your background is on a different layer)

Some Comic/Manga panels

Now i will show some of my comic panels normally i dont have the chance to use Screentones because im doing it colored but in this ones i didnt colored it

In this first one i wanted to make it look like time just stopped for seconds while he loading his power and the boomm!

And in this one i wanted to be kinda Dramatic with him looking at his enemies at the skies and as always i used screentones where the Sun is not Reaching and for background i Thing Using the right type of screentone one the building make it look better somehow(Just ignore the other Panels)
