You probably seen motion blur in comic action scenes to give a sense of speed I will show you how to use it correctly, so it doesn’t confuse anyone looking at it and gets the speed of action across

So, were should I add the motion blur? You should add it to the fastest moving area of the scene which you should already have decide when you were sketching for me it’s the guitar, she about to hit someone with it but what happens if I add it to the leg which is static in this scene.

It doesn’t get what I want across which is for the guitar to have sense of speed.

So let me add motion blur to the guitar.

Use the click the selection area tool draw it around the area you want to blur it will blur the inside of the selection.

Try different settings and see what looks good then click ok.

Now you can feel the speed of the guitar but don’t rely on motion blur the pose and drawing should already give you a sense of speed.
