Introduction

I think this is going to get out of control since the cards that we will make are not common and the ones that we sell in the store are made with our own drawing style in this tutorial I will show you how to make your own cards for these dates to give them someone dear or share it on your social networks let's get started!

Material Digital

keep in mind that you have installed

clip studio paint any graphics tablet on your computer and its drivers (link for beginners) the following assets (download links and how to install them)

if you have an ipad or a galaxy tab we would be ready

Palettes & Reference

You always have to have colors for our Christmas illustration they have to be suitable colors for the date you can find colors in the assets or on pinterest

There are infinite ways to make a Christmas card I will show you how I make mine you can find pinterest references save them and put them in the subview window that is in clip studio to guide you a bit of the reference and make a nice finish

New Canvas

we can make square rectangular canvases depending on the size of the printing letter

I recommend that you make canvases with more than 2000 pixels with 300 or 600 dpi for a better finish when exporting and printing our cards

Creation Of Margins

we go to the ruler sub tool and select figure ruler and select the square and on the canvas

we can use any of the download assets so that in this way create a margin

Illustration Process

This is how our layer will look after adding the ruler and putting the stamping, now we are going to add a new layer to make our sketches

here is my sketch you can do whatever it is for these holidays and that has a characteristic text to date

then we add a new layer and lower the opacity to the sketch layer to make the lineart of the illustration

Here is my lineart process I recommend neutral colors when making the linearts neither black nor bulky

here are my predefined brush themes

to add that contour through the corners of the drawing we select the layer and go to layer properties and touch edge effects

and we do it with margins and our sub-fund

 

The text

Now we are going to add the text where we have wanted to put it, we download our preferred font

after downloading them we select and install them

then we close the program (we save the file with the shortcut command / s in mac and control / s in window or in the file window we select save and close)

after opening the program we go to the sub tool and look for our source from this window

then with the cursor we select where we are going to put our text

Final Details And Export

now we add a new layer and in blending mode we put it in brightness dodge mode

we use the airbrush tool and let the magic begin!

after giving the last details we are going to now export it

us. let's go to file> save a copy> you can choose png. or jpeg. after this we are going to send it to the directory where the file will be

and if we want to print it we go to file> print and there we can connect our printer and print the illustration
