Introduction

Hello, here are a few tips for using the text tool on Clip Studio Paint.

Changing Your Default Font

In Clip Studio Paint, your text tool has a font that is automatically set. If you’re working on a WEBTOON that uses the same font, it may be a hassle to have to change this automatically set font each time you add text to your panels.

Let’s change that!

1) Click the text icon. You will be shown this display:

2) Click the tool icon, this pop up display will show up on your screen:

3) Click the Font section. You will now be able to select which font you want as your default font.

a) For my WEBTOON, I like using CC Wild Words Roman and having my text at size 15.

4) Once you’ve adjusted the settings to your liking, click Save all settings as default.

Creating a Font List

Creating a Font List is helpful when you have too many fonts and it’s hard to search for your favorite ones each time. A Font List will make it easier to find them!

1) Click the text tool and then the font selection:

2) A selection of fonts will pop up. Click the settings icon.

You will be shown a pop up display like this:

3) The bottom left icon will let you create your own font category!

a) Title the new list as appropriate. I will title it “Webtoon Fonts”

4) Out of your total font list, you’ll be able to select which fonts

you'd like to include in your new font category.

a) I like to click this icon, that way I can see what the fonts look when while selecting:

5) After you’ve pressed “OK”, whenever you want to select a font from the category you made (without having a long hassle of searching), simply click the tool palette and you will see the category you made.

I hope these tips could help. I wanted to make it so that even beginner Clip Studio Paint users would be able to understand and apply these tips.

Let me know if there are any other WEBTOON or Clip Studio Paint related topics you need help with.
