1 Create a new file

Create a square file

2 Duplicate the file

Edit → Change canvas size

Halve the canvas size

Select all → Fill with the bucket icon below

3 Paste into the original file

A black and white square is created

4 Save as a bitmap image

 

 

File → Load → Pattern from Image

 

Creates a horizontal stripe pattern

 

Rasterize (combine to bitmap image)

Create new → Draw a vertical rectangle over the entire image

 

Duplicate

 

Overlap the edges of the rectangle

 

Duplicate

 

Repeat this process

 

A vertical stripe pattern is created

Horizontal stripes

Select area → Select color range → Shrink selection area → Erase

Thin horizontal stripes are created

Cut and paste the vertical stripes while keeping the selection intact

 

Move them horizontally
