Sketch/ Boceto

To make a plant you need to capture the basic shape of the plant. This is achieved by sketch.

 

It is convenient to sketch the plant in one layer and leave another to add the color.

Para dibujar una planta, es necesario capturar la forma básica de la misma. Esto se logra mediante el boceto.

 

Es conveniente realizar el boceto de la planta en una capa y dejar otra para agregar el color.

Color

Once the sketch is done, we can proceed to color the plant in question.

 

Una vez que tenemos el boceto, podemos proceder a colorear la planta en cuestión.

Herramientas para colorear

Para colorear las partes más grandes del dibujo, usé la herramienta rellenar ( G ) con la opción “Cerrar y Rellenar”

Para las sombras, usé la plumilla ( P ) con la opción “Maru Pen”.

Para hacer algunos de los contornos usé la herramienta figura ( U ) con la opción de “línea” y “curva”.

 

Coloring tools

To color the larger parts of the drawing, I used the fill tool (G) with the option “Close and Fill”

For the shadows, I used the pen (P) with the “Maru Pen” option.

To make some of the contours I used the tool figure (U) with the option of “line” and “curve”.

 

Fill/Rellenar "close and fill" / "cerrar y Rellenar"

To color faster, we can use the fill tool (G) and select the "close and fill" option that will appear at the top once we have selected the tool.

 

Para colorear rápidamente, podemos utilizar la herramienta relleno (G) y luego dar click en la opción “cerrar rellenar” que aparecerá en la parte superior, una vez que hallamos seleccionado la herramienta.

Color Palette/Paleta de colores

Another thing that makes it easy to color, is to add small circles from the color palette that we want to use, so as not to forget the tones we have used.

 

Otra cosa que facilita colorear, es agregar pequeños círculos de la paleta de colores que queremos usar, para no olvidar los tonos que hemos usado.

 

Light and Shadow / Luz y Sombra

Una vez que hemos agregado el color, se puede proceder a dibujar los detalles de la planta para darle algo de realismo.

 

Once we have added the color, you can proceed to draw the details of the plant to give it some realism.

Para agregar la sombra y la luz, es necesario determinar previamente; de dónde procede la luz y así, podremos delinear también, las sombras.

 

To add shadow and light, it is necessary to determine previously; where the light comes from and so, we can also delineate the shadow.

Shadows color

Para escoger los colores de las sombras, nos podemos ayudar con el círculo de colores y así probar hasta que obtengamos un color más o menos cercano a la realidad. Si perdemos de vista el color que queríamos lograr, podemos volver a la base con la muestra de la paleta de colores que previamente creamos.

 

To choose the colors of the shadows, we can help with the circle of colors and thus try until we get a color more or less close to reality. If we lose sight of the color we wanted to achieve, we can return to the base with the sample of the color palette we previously created.
