How to draw Work Uniforms
Hi everyone, I'm Lia, but you can call me Wwonli. Today I will show you how to draw work clothes (firefighter, policeman).
Where do we start?
Before starting to draw a work uniform, I recommend using references to familiarize yourself with what it is. Since it is difficult to draw what you have not seen. Since this is a tutorial, you can use my art as a reference.
I don't like to complicate the drawing process, so this method will be very simple. To facilitate this process, use the Clip Studio Materials, you can find a huge amount of additional materials that will be useful to you (such as weapons, backgrounds, additional brushes).
Canvas Size and Resolution
Also, before starting to draw, I recommend that you think carefully about the resolution and size of your canvas. It depends on your purpose of using your art. For printing - I recommend large size and resolution, if for your social networks, then I advise you to take medium sizes, since there are small restrictions on the file size. For animation, I would also not recommend large canvas sizes, as there will be problems with exporting to GIFs.
I usually use the standard A4 format with a resolution of 350(or smaller).
I liked to draw on very large canvases with a very high resolution, but it really sometimes caused me inconvenience. And I had to reduce the size of my image, do not repeat my mistakes.
Firefighter uniform
And so let's start with the firefighter uniform. As you may have noticed, if you are possibly a fan, firefighters have a very specific form. Firefighters wear explicit trousers and jackets made of two-layer fabric, designed to reflect heat and remove moisture that gets inside. Pants and jackets typically have bright orange, yellow, or reflective silver stripes to make it easier for firefighters to see through smoke. An important component is also a helmet, on which there will probably be a number of fire brigade.
We will start as usual with a sketch. I use for reference 3D models of Clip Studio. It is very simple and simplifies your work.
To add a 3D model, just drag it onto our canvas. Then just set up an approximate pose.
When you have adjusted the necessary pose, you can start the sketch.
To do this :
1) Reduce the opacity of the layer with 3D models to about 30%
2) Add New Layer
Now you can easily sketch.

Line Art and Base Colors
I always before drawing shadows starting paint with Airbrush. It gives volume. Then I use standard brushes adding shadows.
Now I'll just show all the stages.
So the fireman’s uniform is ready. Wasn’t it so hard right?
Police uniform
Now let's start drawing a policeman uniform. I am sure many people like this form. There is a huge amount of variation. But you can always use your imagination to draw some kind of uniform, be free in this. Details are very important. Let's see what kind of uniform I offer you.
Again, we start with a sketch.
Line Art and Base Colors.
Add the shadows. I also like to use additional brushes with effects.
Painting now seems not so complicated right? Use all your imagination at this stage, add volumes and shadows where you consider it necessary, developing your vision.
