Introduction

hello everyone

I will assume you have already inked the sketch and you want to paint it without those lifeless rigid lines!

so bear with me to create the most fabulous organic painting

go over your sketch and ink it carefully

first, make sure to close

all the gaps in your ink sketch

I used G-pen for inking and carefully trace over again

start to paint neatly

then fill every layer with color

and use this amazing tool for painting the unfilled areas

hair and clothes all in different layers

the most important tip for making lineless painting

after I reduced the inked layer opacity, here I used the layer property to adjust every layer

chose border effect then watercolor edge to adjust range. opacity ..etc

this tip is what made the character distinguishable when I reduced the opacity of the ink layer

 

it will look messy but be patient and trust the process this decision will make you happy at the end

adding shadows

after I create a new layer for shadow I use (clip to layer bellow )

so I can add shadow to specific layer like ( hair layer ) I clip hair shadow layer to hair layer

 

I define my shadows and light areas by using the gradient tool

both foreground to transparent and foreground to background

rendering my work

I use this brush for coloring and adding texture

 

usually, I hide and show the inked layer so I can define my shadows and light

also to paint the features

background

create the effect of sun rays using any brush you like then change the layer mode to subtract it will create an amazing forest-like scene

change layer mode into subtract mode

add bubbles and trees using decoration brushes

create the tree trunk and use a brush of your choice to create its shadow, light, and texture
