Lesson 1: Simple flower painting

In this teaching, a total of 2 kinds of flower painting methods will be used. First, draw two circles on the screen respectively.

One draws 4 lines outward, and the other draws 5 lines (as shown below)

Then according to the position of the line, draw the petal draft, the shape of the petal is as shown below

Then a little work on the lines of the flowers

At this point, some people may think that the lines of the draft are better than the processed ones

Or the processed lines are still a bit insufficient

At this point, we can increase the thickness of the line a bit

As you can see, after I added some thickness to the lines, the overall feeling of the lines is much better than the previous step.

Specifically, I increased the thickness of the line at the tip of the flower and near the stamen to add a three-dimensional effect

Let's help the flowers simply fill in the background color

And use the airbrush brush in the middle to slightly create the effect of stamens

Use flower decorations in character illustrations

First of all, I prepared a drawing process of a character portrait as an example,

The flowers in the picture will be extended based on the basic painting method above.

As you can see first, I want her to hold a bouquet of flowers in her hands

Then, when I was drawing, I wanted her head to be decorated with a flower as well

Again, I want her to be around a lot of flowers and give her a pair of wings

Next, I drew a little bit of the surrounding flowers

Finally, I made the position and shape of the flower clearer

Next, simply add a color to confirm the overall feeling,

The next step is to process the long lines. It is not unusual for this step to take several hours to complete. If the draft is processed more clearly, the time of this step can be shortened.

After finishing the lines, start coloring the characters

Next, let's deal with the flowers on the head

We also use the painting method just taught, simply color the flowers

Next, deal with the bouquet in the character's hand

First paint the part where the flower shape is not drawn with a darker color

Then paint the color of the stamens, and at the same time, apply a little color of the stamens to the dark areas outside the flower shape.

Apply a little strengthening shape to the edge of the flower as well

To enhance the recognition of the stamens, paint a brighter color

Then deal with the pleated shadow of the bouquet, the overall shape will be like this

Finally, use the spray paint brush to open a new layer to dye the bouquet with a little edge light and you are done. Be careful not to overflow the edge of the bouquet too much with the color of the edge light.

Then deal with the background part. First, after finishing the basic background color, adjust the transparency to about 60%

As you did when drawing the bouquet, paint a darker color outside the flower shape

At this time, since the coating transparency is 60%,

Therefore, it is recommended to directly use the eyedropper tool to draw the dark part of the bouquet and draw it

 

In the same way, draw the stamens by drawing the color of the bouquet

Finally, you can adjust the layer opacity according to your own needs to find the color that suits the overall atmosphere of your picture
