Structure of an Eye

Before we get start we must know the structure of the eye, if you have seen my other tutorial on how to make an eye in my style you know the structure already, (or maybe you already know it because you are a genus ✨) Anyways, here is the structure of an eye!

You may follow this basic structure when drawling an eye (or if you want to be creative go ahead it’s your art!)

Beginning!

Okay, when drawing realism as a beginner the best way is using a reference like I did in the picture at the top. It’s so helpful and makes everything much easier

Now let’s jump into it!

Go to that drawing platform/studio of yours!

Step one! Make your paint brush/maker big as can be or medium size.

(I’m using canvas but you get the jest of it (hopefully 😁))

Now just move it around crazy so it looks like a huge splatter of paint!

This will be your face (jk kind of) It’s just your nose and your eyes! This will be our base.

Step two!

Drawing the nose

This is optional but in my opinion it helps a lot!

Step Three!

After you did a really quick shade of the nose it’s time to make the base for the eyes!

Just a side ways oval/egg 🥚

It’s so cute!

Now onto making the shades and the eyelid!

Make sure to add the triangle at the end! You can add as much tone as you want to your eye, but I recommend going down only a little bit on the color wheel. And the opacity should be halfway down so it blends nicely!

Now the triangle has a friend! Make sure to make this triangle darker than the other one since it’s closer to your nose.

Step Four!

Making the iris.

What ever color the iris is isn’t going to be the color of your circle, the circle will be darker then your iris!

Optional: Make another dark circle (because it’s more detailed that way!)

Now add the color of your choice to the middle! (below the other layer)

Make sure to add those specks.

More specks? Of course!

And finally the black dot! (Your pupil)

Step Five

Adding the sclera!

Now make some darker lines underneath to add more depth and exaggerate the skin!

Step Six!

Eyelashes time!
