Introduction

Hello!! I am a Clip Studio Paint Pro user by the name of Brilee and I would like to show you my process on how I created a very Shiny Fantasy Helmet.

Finishing off your Armor Piece with Consideration of Lights and Darks

When you are completing your piece, you want to take the time to figure out what values fit best so that later, when you add your shine it will look realistic. If you have trouble with visualizing how light hits a reflective object, You can either use references from other pictures or draw a little arrow in the corners of your screen that signify light so that you have a good idea of how lights and shadows will form.

Linear Burn ! !

To get that Shiny Effect, I wanted to make a Linear Burn Layer. You can do this buy Clicking on "Linear Burn" in the Blending Modes selection.

LET THERE BE LIGHT XD

Once you select the Linear Burn layer, you can use the Airbrush tool on "Soft" and apply some light blues and whites and "BOOM! It makes the armor way shinier.

Here's The final Product!
