Next I will show the process that I carry out for the poses of my characters, from the modification of the body using the 3D studio clip materials, to the sketch and painting of the drawing.

If you are a beginner, please watch the video, I hope it helps you.

I will also try to explain it here, keep reading for the steps to follow.

If you have questions or comments, you can make them, I will gladly help you.

In the image you can see the three models, the one on the left is the model that clip studio provides us, but we can modify it, just as I did with the one on the right, where the waist, shoulders and head have very noticeable changes, that suit my style.

In the video I show the step by step to make these modifications and then apply the pose for my character without losing the custom measurements.

Steps to draw poses

Step 1.

In the program you will find the materials panel on your right, you must go to the 3D section, click on the little arrow to show you the options and choose "Body type"

Now in the default options it will show you the shapes that you can use.

In my case I will choose the "female" model

select and then click on the icon to paste material on the canvas, the icon appears in the second image.

Once you click on the icon, the figure will appear on your canvas, ready to be modified according to the structure of your character.

The points that it shows when you select it, are the ones that you can move, the circle below is where you can make it bigger, smaller or rotate it.

The next step is to modify the structure of the figure, here it can be done with wider hips or narrower or longer legs.

You just have to click on the icon that shows the yellow box.

Then you will get the screen where it shows the shape of the body.

Well, you keep the proportion or adjust it to your liking.

Here it shows you the divisions that you can modify.

Any of these parts can be made, shorter, longer, wider or narrower.

Click on each part to be modified and on the tabs that appear below the box where the largest selected part is shown, there are some arrows that allow you to increase or reduce the area you chose.

In my case I reduced the waist, shoulders and made the hips a little wider.

this to suit my drawing style before choosing the pose.

Once the body of the character is defined with the desired measurements, you return to the section of: materials

►pose.

In this part now it will show you the different poses that Clip studio offers, look for the one you need and to apply it to the character that we elaborated previously, you just have to click, without releasing it on the pose and drag it to the figure.

The pose is automatically applied to the figure without modifying the molded areas for the character.

Now, you just create a new layer and sketch with the base pose.

At the end of the sketch, you take your eyes off the pose, to see the clean sketch and then it is a matter of creating another layer and correcting the sketch and then painting.

This is all, my final drawing lacks shadows and correct application of color, but what I wanted to show mainly is the use of the 3d figures that clip study offers and that we can finally apply to our drawings.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

or if you think something needed to be explained, also tell me, to improve and do it more completely.
