Hi everyone!

I am Fiann and I would like to share with you my production process, with a step by step of some of my illustrations with Clip Studio Paint.

I recommend you watch my video, where I also show you the production process!

Production process- Video

Create our file

The first thing will be to create a new file, the size of the canvas is to our preference, in this case the measurements used would be the following:

On the other hand, if we want to share our production process, CLIP STUDIO PAINT gives us the option of “timelapse recording” to be able to save the entire process of our illustration; To use it, we just have to click on the bottom where it says "timelapse recording" and that's it.

Sketch

We choose our favorite brush to make sketches and we begin to create the first lines of our Illustration, in my case I like first to make a not so detailed sketch and then to make a more polished one.

And this would be the result of our first sketch.

Now we will add a new layer, for the second sketch

After having our new layer, we will lower the opacity to the previous sketch, to be able to guide us. In this new layer we will make a new version of the illustration, a little cleaner

So we have our new version of the sketch, and now we proceed to color it.

Color

We start by creating another layer, where we will do everything related to the color of our Illustration.

In the new layer, we begin to paint all of our cat in a single color and based on this we will add the other colors. Since I want my cat to be pink and purple, the base color I will use will be light pink.

Then we add color in the place where our cat's spots will be, we also choose a brush with which we can mix the colors, and we begin to pass the brush all over the face. In my case I used the “mix watercolor” brush.

While we are mixing, we can add more color in the places that we think they need. As we can see, add a little more purple around the face of our cat.

Then we continue with the body of our cat, doing the same procedure for the face, painting purple and pink in the places where the spots will be; and then mixing everything.

After having mixed everything very well, we will make the eyes and nose to our liking, in my case I wanted blue eyes with purple areas.

Now we continue to outline our illustration, I chose a deep purple color to outline our entire cat.

Now we add lines of purple, white, and pink to create the hairs of his fur. In addition, we add the last details to our cat, to now go to the background.

Bottom

Now we continue with the background, we paint the lawn with light green and dark green, and we must also keep in mind the size of the lawn, to know to what extent it covers the cat.

Then we proceed to mix the colors of our soil.

In order to paint some leaves on top of our cat, we will change the order of the layers.

Now that we can paint on our cat, we will draw leaves to simulate that the cat is in the grass and we will erase the green areas that cover it. In addition, we will make lines of different colors, to give better detail to the grass.

We continue with the sky, We will use the following colors blue, yellow, purple and pink, to create a sunset and we will mix the colors

Now the clouds follow, first we will paint with a base color, and blur its outline a bit.

To give our clouds shadows and lights we can add more colors, and then we mix them. Also, we keep adding color in the places we think they need.

Shades

We will add a new layer with multiplication settings, and we will paint the entire layer in a single color.

And then we will erase the areas where there is no shadow, both of our cat and its background.

We will finish by putting the last details of our illustration

Finally we sign our work, and we are ready to share our illustration to all our networks.

Remember, if you pressed the "timelapse recording" option, you must go to file, timelapse, select export timelapse, choose the duration and size of your liking; You click on accept and choose where to save your timelapse.

Thanks for reading, I hope you liked it and are encouraged to share your process.
