Step 1: Start with the Head

Begin by drawing a circle slightly tilted to the side. This will be the eagle's head.

Step 2: Add the Beak

From the bottom of the circle, draw a curved line that extends outward and slightly downward. Then, draw a shorter curved line from the top of the circle, curving it downward to meet the first line. This will form the beak of the eagle.

Step 3: Draw the Eye

Inside the circle, draw a smaller circle near the top-right portion. This will represent the eagle's eye. Add a smaller circle within the eye to represent the iris, and a tiny circle or dot inside the iris for the pupil.

Step 4: Outline the Neck and Body

From the bottom of the head, draw a slightly curved line extending downward and to the right. This will be the eagle's neck. Then, continue the line downward, curving it outward to create the back of the eagle. Add another curved line starting from the bottom of the neck and connecting it to the back line, forming the belly of the eagle.

Step 5: Sketch the Wings

From the back line, draw a long, curved line extending outward and downward to create the top edge of the wing. Then, draw a parallel line below it, curving it slightly upward to form the bottom edge of the wing. Repeat this step on the other side to create the second wing.

Step 6: Add Tail Feathers

From the bottom of the back line, draw a series of long, curved lines extending downward to form the tail feathers. These lines should gradually decrease in length as they move outward.

Step 7: Draw the Legs and Talons

From the bottom of the belly line, draw two long, slightly curved lines extending downward for the legs. At the bottom, draw three curved lines to create the talons. Repeat this step on the other side to complete the second leg.

Step 8: Add Feathers and Details

To give the eagle a more realistic appearance, add feather-like details along the wings, tail, and body. Use curved lines to indicate the texture of the feathers. You can also add small lines or curves around the eyes and beak to represent facial features.

Step 9: Refine the Outline

Go over your initial sketch and refine the outline of the eagle, making it smoother and more defined. Erase any unnecessary guidelines or overlapping lines.

Step 10: Color Your Eagle (Optional)

If you wish, you can add color to your eagle drawing. Eagles are typically brown or dark brown, with white feathers on their head and tail. Use shades of brown to color the body and wings, and white for the head and tail feathers. Consider adding shading and highlights to create depth and realism.

Congratulations! You have successfully drawn an eagle. Remember, practice is key, so feel free to experiment with different poses, angles, and styles to create unique eagle drawings. Enjoy the process and have fun!
