My creative process

Sketch

There is a huge variety of desserts that vary from country to country so the first thing we will do is look for our references and start sketching the 8 desserts: Crepe, Donuts, cakes and biscuits. Use the pencil tool to sketch.

Apply color

This is the first thing we will do:

1. Fill the layer with gray color

2. Decrease opacity of the sketch layer (40%) and in multiply mode

With the lasso tool, I'm going to select the outline or silhouette and then fill it with a color.

I recommend using the clipping mask option as it allows me to add color to different layers without leaving the original layer. With each element, we will create a new layer that will be attached and here we can shadow each element without affecting the base layer.

You can use the different layer modes to achieve better shading and lighting.

In the YouTube video you can find more detailed information on how I painted each dessert.
