3D MODEL Illustration
Introduction
Hello!! I am a Clip Studio Paint Pro user by the name of Brilee and in this tutorial I will be showing you how I used the female 3D model to create this fun little piece
First, I created an Illustration document with a size of 2400 X 2400 pixels and 300 dpi. When you make the length and width of a document the same, the document becomes a square! XD.
Now in order to activate the 3D model, We can find it in our folder marked as 3D. Once, we have found it, we can go ahead and drag it over!
And there she is!
Setting her up!
What I want my character to do is sit down in mid air. Funny Right !!. In order to make certain parts of the body move without disturbing or warping the overall integrity of the body, it is easier to click or tap on each part of the body that you want to move! Once you have done this, Red, yellow, blue, or green markings will appear and this will allow you to move your body parts in each desired direction whether it be up or down or left or right! However, there are only so many directions a finger can go, so in some body parts, you can only move in certain directions. This is a wonderful mechanic in the 3D model, for you can create realistic poses that the human body can actually do. So don't go to crazy!!
Another amazing feature in clip studio is the ability to click and drag in the empty space to visualize the model in INFINITE amounts of poses.
All Set!
Once you are happy with your model, you can begin to use it as reference. If you don't want the model to be completely visible, then you can lover the opacity in the model layer. The opacity bar is right next to the Blending modes on the right side of the screen.
Beginning My Sketch !
In the beginning stages of my piece I am following the 3D model and adding clothes along the way while using the "Real Pencil" tool. It actually feels like I am sketching on real paper, but just on a computer XD
Pants, Shoes, Face, and Hair!
And as a final touch I added a mask !
Line Art and Checking!
I want to begin my line art, so I am lowering my sketch opacity so that I can see what I am drawing on top of my new layer that I created on top.
While I am doing my line art, I am also checking back in with my model to make sure everything is how I want it to be !. In order to do this. Just click the eye on the 3D model once more so that the visibility can activate.
Finalizing !
And there it is! I hope you enjoyed this !
