Simple Fantasy Effect Tutorial
Nice to meet you!
Hi everyone, my name is Kaen. In this tutorial, I will show you how to create a simple fantasy effect by using tools in the Clip Studio Paint for this illustration. So, let's get started.
1. Tools you will need
The tools you will need are all in the Clip Studio Paint, and if you want, you can get more tools or brushes from Clip Studio Assets too. The tools I used are mostly pencil and airbrush. Then I adjust the density and test them on a canvas.
2. Start with the background
All you have to do is choose the color of the background. Then using a soft airbrush to get the gradient.
3. Add your characters
To be honest, I do like digital art, but I feel like I was able to think creatively by drawing on paper. Therefore, I believe that everyone has their own way of doing things.
Here's I create a new layer over the blue background. Everything can be very loose and simple at first, and we can add more details later.
4. Add your characters color, light, shadow, and detail.
I used G-pen to make grasses. For the flowers, I used the flower decoration tool. I suggest you adjust the tool property such as density and size.
5. Finish all the main characters by editing tonal correction
After I finish all the characters detail. Next, I edit their brightness, contrast, hue, and saturation.
6. Add your effects
I liven up my canvas from using light running ink brush to make a flowing waterfall. Finally, I add shining lights all over my canvas by using the effect decoration to finish this illustration.
Again, I edit my objects color with the tonal correction. You can use the tone curve too if you want.
7. We're done
I know it's not that simple, but you can find all the tools you need in the Clip Studio Paint. Adjusting the light and color by click on 'edit'. Then most of the illustration depends on you. All in all, I hope this tutorial can be helpful to you.
