Using Asset Materials for Concept Art
Hi folks. In this tutorial, I’m going to show you how to use asset materials from clip studio. It’s an easy step by step.
ASTRO WRITER.
Before we go talk about materials, I would like to show you the dimensions I use when making concept art. (This is best for android size).
Next go to Assets on Clip Studio, search through it to download materials, brushes, pens, pencils and more.
When you have downloaded a few things from Assets, you can access them on the drawing program.
Everything from marterial will be catagorized for each subject, go to the download folder thats where you’ll find everything from Clip Studio Assets .
I like to use pencils and texture material from Clip Studio Assets. Pencils are great when you sketch things for concept.
The image down here is not fully completed. Of course we have color, the linework, a bit of shadow and lighting. I like to use texture materials to give it that real feel.
Drag the texture material of your choice into the layer window, put it above the flat colors, and clip it. Next you put the blending mode on Overlay.
And there you have it. They are a lot of things to explore when you go to Assets on Clip Studio. Be sure to check it out. Don't hold back, cause it’s fun to use materials in your illustrations.
Check out my artwork down below, to see pencil sketches and images with texture I’ve used from assets. This turtorial can be for concept art, poster making, or even a quick doodle.
