In CLIP STUDIO PAINT, various shortcuts are set by default.

But, I often want to customize sub-tools and shortcuts I often use.

In this tips, we will introduce not only the setting with the iPad version but also how to take over at PC → iPad version which was carried out at the time of your own migration.

Set shortcuts only with iPad

People who use only the iPad version of Crista from the swirl-like Christa Mark

Select "Shortcut setting".

If you want to set shortcuts such as "T1" displayed here, just select the tool you want to set with "shortcut setting", then "T1" etc. is displayed You can set it by tapping a key.

↑ Tap on the key to enable that key to be set!

Bring the shortcut key setting from the PC (using the cloud)

If you are using Crysta on PC and you are planning to use the iPad version from now on, we recommend restoring from CLIP STUDIO software backup.

  • Network connection is required before running.

After connecting to the network, first back up the PC version software.

You can take a backup from CLIPSTUDIO's cloud icon> "Back up app settings now".

After uploading the setting backup, start the iPad version

You can bring the shortcut key setting to restore the settings of PC version by executing gray spiral icon> cloud icon> "restore app settings".

※ You need to log in to your account.

※ If you are using Windows, there is no "ctrl" key on the iPad, so you only need to replace this item.

I will bring all the sub tools, so if the iPad version has already been customized the settings will be gone, so it might be a bit hard to recommend ...!

Aside from that, we can restore the same way when you buy a PC, so we recommend you to keep a backup of the software

Bring shortcut key setting from PC (use workspace material)

If you want to take over only the shortcut setting ...

Let's restore only the shortcut keys with "Use workspace material".

The point to be noted is that the workspace will return to that setting, if there is no tool that was set as a shortcut key ... uselessly ... but there are some drawbacks, but still a procedure in case you want to bring shortcuts.

First of all, in order to save the shortcut key, we register the PC version workspace as a material.

Registration can be done from "Window" menu> "Workspace"> "Register workspace as material".

Loading the workspace material will cause the workspace to be different from the current workspace, so if you want to keep the layout of the iPad version, let's register it on the iPad version as well

After registering, connect to the network and upload the material.

When you restart the application on the iPad version, registered workspace material will be displayed.

When loading with drag & drop, the following popup is displayed

Uncheck the checkboxes other than "Shortcut key setting" and load.

You can load workspace and shortcut settings.

If you want to restore the workspace of the iPad version, load the workspace material registered on the iPad side and turn off all the "other imported items" checkbox to read only the workspace.
