When using a solid with manga manuscript etc, use a brush such as tone sharpening

If you scrape solidly, the amount of information in the screen will increase, so the manuscript will feel gorgeous.

 

In this case, you can add effects directly to the layer painted solidly,

Using the layer mask makes it possible to add effects while maintaining the range of solid paint, so it is easier to fine-adjust such as when there is unpainted paint.

The way to use the layer mask is the same as the tone layer, but I will explain it easily!

I will make a mask

After selecting a layer that has been solidly painted with the layer palette,

Click on the image icon below to create a layer mask.

To scrape

When you confirm that the layer mask on the layer palette is like the image above, select the brush you want to cut and select the drawing color "Transparent color".

 

Then move the brush where you want to add sharpness or effect, you can erase the solid.

(If the brush setting is "erase" it can be erased without selecting transparent color)

 

If you select a drawing color and draw with a normal brush etc, draw the erased part again.

In monochrome manuscripts, if anti-aliasing is mixed, there is a possibility that unintended print results may be obtained, so let's set the "representation of mask" gradation to "none" in the layer property palette.

 

Besides the hair, I think that it can be used conveniently in the background etc.
