Introduction

Hello ! In this tutorial we are going to learn how to make an adorable Lo-Fi art illustration.

But first, what is Lo-Fi art?

Lo-Fi or Low Fidelity art is a style that focuses on retro environments, such as the 1980s or 1990s.

With that said, let's go step by step. To start !

Step 1 : Sketch

When making an illustration it is important to have a clear idea of what you are going to do, for this you can make a sketch.

Step 2 : Lineart (line art)

After having the sketch ready, you have to pass it clean, marking the final lines.

For this I use a new "Vector layer" in which I go over the sketch with the "Continuous curve" tool and modify the thickness with "Redraw Width".

Step 3 : Color

In this step we are going to add the solid colors.

The "Fill" tool allows us to color a large area with a single click. The "G" and "Maru" pens help us add details like the ends of the hair.

Step 4: Shadows

This step involves adding the shadows.

You are adding depth to our work by making it look better.

It's starting to take shape!

Final Step: Details

Now it only remains to add small details such as: changes in color, lights, etc.

This helps us give our illustration a nice finish.
