Comic Black Rainbow

Hello! little cutie

I am Black Rainbow (Comic black rainbow)

Whether you are new to drawing, or you are a cute little girl who has been drawing for a while

Basically, I will be troubled by the painting of the head and face

After all, what we draw most often are people.

Among the characters, the shape of the face is the most complex.

So a lot of cuties are always slumped on this level of drawing faces

So today Heihong wants to use three simple techniques

to help you when drawing a character's face

no longer feel overwhelmed

Because drawing faces is not as difficult as imagined

As long as you can apply some skill practice and get the hang of it

It will be easier to draw your character's face from any angle!

And today I will use Clip studio paint as a demonstration

Because Clip studio paint has super convenient painting aids

can help us when drawing and angling faces

Faster, easier, easier and simpler!

hateful! I seem to be addicted to Clip studio paint 🤣🤣🤣

simple proportions of the face

First of all, we need to understand the relative proportions of the basic facial features at the very beginning. After understanding the relative proportions of the basic facial features, we have to try to draw various angles to have a basis, instead of drawing faces. , didn't know how to draw myself, but drew a scary monster!

But because the proportions of the facial features of the face are actually more complicated, it can also be very professional and in-depth, so here, in order to allow you to quickly and easily draw faces from various angles, we use a simpler face and facial features. Scale to explain!

First of all, we draw a cross line on the center of the circle. The horizontal line of the cross line is the position of our eyebrows. Then the straight lines in the upper half and the lower half are divided into three equal parts. The top 1/3 is the hair The bottom 1/3 is the bottom of the nose, and finally add another 1/3 of the length to the bottom of the circle, which will be our chin. Basically, after grabbing the relative proportions of these facial features, You can start trying to use this ratio with the following techniques to draw heads from various angles!

Trick 1. Sliced spheres + hanging jaws

In fact, we can simply regard the human head as a sphere with a thin slice sliced on the left and right sides. The center point of the circular plane sliced on the left and right sides hangs on the lower jaw of our face. This is the simple structure after we simplify the human head.

We can first try to draw such a structural volume with several different angles.

Then we can mark the relative proportions of the facial features we just know.

Then directly use the faces we have drawn at various angles to draw the angles of the faces we want to draw! During the painting process, you can directly watch the teaching video. When drawing the details of facial features, you can still make some adjustments according to your own creative needs.

It's amazing, right?

In fact, this method is to simplify the head and add the relative positions of the facial features, which can be used as the basis for us to describe the facial features from various angles! Using this method, we have to draw faces from various angles, and it will no longer be a blank in the head!

Technique 2. Sphere + a piece of paper

After we have finished the first technique of drawing faces from various angles, we are going to introduce you to the second technique of drawing faces from various angles! In the second technique, we are going to use a more simplified structure of the face than the first technique! I believe you probably guessed it after reading the title, yes! Just wrap half of a sphere with a piece of paper!

But in order to make the sphere covered by half of the paper closer to the facial features of the face, we can make the height of the paper equal to 7/6 of the diameter of the sphere, and then we can try to draw with such a simplified structure of the human head All different angles!

Then, we can draw several different angles based on this structure.

And mark the relative proportions of the facial features.

At this time, we can follow the same technique as the previous one, and directly draw the details of the facial features directly on these simplified head structures from different angles!

You can watch the teaching video directly as in the painting process! In this way, even if you don’t have any reference pictures, you can pick up the drawing tools and draw faces from various angles. At the beginning of practice, you may feel a little difficult because you have never tried drawing in this way, but don’t worry , as the number of times you practice increases, you will slowly catch the trick! If you also want to draw faces from various angles more easily and quickly, then you must not miss the third tip!

Tip 3. Clip studio paint 3D auxiliary tools

I think this is the biggest reason why many people use Clip studio paint, because its accessibility is really great! In the past, learning to draw characters may require proficiency in human body structure, muscles, perspective, etc. For many people, it is really endless professional knowledge. Even if you learn it, you may not be able to draw it without enough practice, so Many painting auxiliary software and tools are constantly being updated with the increasing demand for images in people's lives! Now, you don't even need 3D software, and you don't need to find 3D materials. You can use Clip studio paint directly, and you can use the built-in or 3D auxiliary tools shared by other creators to help you quickly paint faces from various angles! So let's quickly take a look at how to use this 3D painting aid!

First of all, because the built-in 3D character model of Clip studio paint is mainly the whole body, so I recommend that you can download a 3D head model provided by the creator, which will be convenient for you who want to draw facial features directly. Of course It should be noted that this 3D auxiliary tool can only be used in Clip studio paint! It cannot be used in other painting software, so if you want to use this convenient painting aid quickly, of course you have to buy and use Clip studio paint!

After downloading this 3D face model, we can freely arrange the face angle we want to paint, and then refer to the 3D face model to draw the character we want to paint!

The advantage of a 3D face model is that it already has a sense of muscle, so even if you are a beginner in painting and don’t know much about facial muscles and facial features, you can still get started quickly! You may find that in the process of painting, even if I have a reference, I still adjust some details, which are different from the reference picture. The reason is that even if you have a reference, you still have to make adjustments according to your creative needs. How to adjust In order to get closer to your creative needs, you need to practice and paint for a long time before you know it!

So the teaching is here

All you have to do now is grab your drawing tools and try to draw!

At the beginning, you may encounter some difficulties in the process of drawing

Maybe it's because I'm not used to it or I don't draw very smoothly
