Perspective Ruler Tutorial
Hi again, it’s Astro Writer with another tutorial. Right now, I’m giving a step by step on using the perspective ruler, check it out.
They are many angles when it comes to perspective. I’m going to do a simple method for my illustration.
I’ll let the image speak for itself.
First we start with the thumbnail image.
When penciling over the thumbnail image, we are going to use the perspective ruler. Doing this will help us make our objects and our surroundings seem closer and farther away.
Go to the tool window and click on the ruler icon.
Click on perspective ruler.
You want to keep the vanishing point option.
Start up the perspective ruler onto your drawing.
You can move the ruler to your liking, ( the blue line indicates the horizon line).
Make sure you have the (the purple line) aligned with your drawing. Next we’ll draw using the ruler.
I’m only using the ruler for the flooring, (the ruler is also great for additional objects).
This is where I add more drawings for the illustration.
Grayscale.
After Grayscale we can finish the rest with color, shadow, lighting and other stuff.
Thank you for checking out this tutorial. I really hope this helps with using clip studio.
Check out down below for other illustrations with perspective.
Be sure to follow us. See you all soon. Check out the timelapse video of the illustration down below!
