[Color Slider] palette
Let's take a look at another Color Palette of ClipStudioPaint : the [Color Slider] palette.
You can find the [Color Slider] palette at the lower left corner :
You can also access the palette by going to [Window] -> [Color Slider]
Color Slider Palette explained
By moving the slider, you can configure colors.
Right now, the RGB representation is on.
So, the color values are defined by the three primary colors : Red (R), Green (G), and Blue (B).
Move the slider to the right, to increase the amount of red, green, or blue in the color value.
Drag the slider to the left to decrease.
Color Representations : RGB, HSV, CMYK
There are three color models, or ways to represent colors : RGB, HSV and CMYK.
You can change them by clicking on the icons on the left side of the palette :
RGB uses Red, Green and Blue to represent colors.
HSV uses Hue, Satuaration, Value to represent colors
CMYK uses Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black to represent colors
The differences between these will not be covered in this tutorial. The color mode you choose depends on what the artwork will be used for later.
In the lower right corner you have three color icons :
The first one represents the primary color. The second one represents the sub color. The last one is transparent color.
If you select a brush, and select the Transparent color, the brush will act as an eraser :
Click on the "three horizontal lines" in the upper left corner to open the menu. From the menu, you can hide the palette, and hide or show the color icon (the three colors mentioned before).
You can also change the color space from HSV to HLS (this is not significant if you're working in CMYK).
