Introduction

The update is out! Us Android (and other companion mode) users are thrilled to start drawing with this tool!

But....

How do I set it up?

I was also wondering, that is why I am making an easy to follow guide that doesn't skip any parts!

Download Clip Studio Paint's update

On the bottom of the description you can see the version (1.12.0).

The app is free to download.

You should update in both devices! To update your computer, open Clip Studio's app (not to be confused with the one you draw on).

Next to "Return to Paint" (first option), you will see a notification. Click on the notification sign and then the first option in red should be the update. You will need to close Clip Studio Paint to proceed.

Open both Clip Studio Paint's apps

For you to use companion you need a device to be the main one! Open the app in both your devices!

Android Setup (1.12.0)

You will see the same screen as before. If you don't have a license for your phone, you should click on "Get started". For now, I don't know if you will be able to use it for more than an hour per day, but I am looking for updates on this part.

Next, click on the smartphone icon on the top of your screen.

Computer Setup

Now click the smartphone icon on the main Paint app.

You will see a QR code, click the first option on your phone and scan it.

You should now have your companion mode set up!
