5 Techniques with Bezier Curve
Introduction
Greetings and welcome to this new tutorial using Clip Studio Paint for our arts and creations.
With the improved curve tool, now we can use the function bezier, with a lot of possibilities. Today we're gonna use the tool Bezier Curve with 5 techniques hereunder
Here's a video tutorial and a text tutorial for a better experience!
1. Fill out the sketches
First, open your file with all your sketches and make them layers without white background, to work with transparent layers.
Go to Tools and Sub-Tools to go to Figures and choose the Bezier Curve tool and make the following settings
And now with the Bezier Curve tool you start filling the drawings in a single layer
EXTRA TIP: To switch to colors, convert your layer to Expression Color to Gray, and then apply Layer Color
EXTRA TIP: To select a part of the drawing to change to color, go to Selection Subtool and make the following settings. Apply ‘’Convert brightness to opacity’’ and fill in with color
2. Work with values
First, go to Edit and Change basic canvas properties, now change the property to Grey
Create a layer with the expression color in gray and start drawing the white elements
Now drawing with black elements
And draw the details with values of gray
3. Flat Style
First, configure the Bezier Curve and make a shape of the hat
Try to configure the Bezier Curve tool with differents results
EXTRA TIP:
1. Lock transparent pixels and detail inside the shape
2. Clip at Layer Below and draw!
4. Vectors
Combined with vector layer and bezier curve, it can be ideal for designing objects, icons or logos in the graphic design
You can still alter the pressure, opacity, color and curve of the vector line
5. Masking
To apply mask, first go to Select and then to the option ''Convert to Selection Layer''
And fill in the area to trim the cat
Now go to Layer and then Select from Layer, a new selected area will be created and then we start applying the mask
EXTRA TIP: Use your brushes to details the mask
