I will explain how to draw sea water.

1. Draw the base of the sea and the beach

2. Draw a pattern of waves and water

Switch layers and draw waves with a transparent watercolor brush.

I will paint it like a wave on the beach and the sea.

At the tip of the wave, use short lines and spray droplets to draw a splash to make the wave feel like it's popping.

I will draw a pattern of water on the surface of the water and the beach with a transparent watercolor brush.

By drawing a pattern on the beach, we express that there is water on the beach.

3. Draw the shadow of the wave

Switch layers, compare (dark) the compositing mode, and make the brush color gray.

I will cast a shadow under the waves.

4. Add a shadow to the water pattern

Switch layers and use a transparent watercolor brush to make it light gray and draw a shadow at a distance from the water pattern.

By drawing a shadow, you can express the feeling of transparency in the water.

 

5. Put in the light

Switch layers and add compositing modes to add light to the ocean and beaches.

Reduce the opacity of the layer to just the right brightness.
