Shading a Clothes [old tips]
Hello! Via back again
Here I want to share old tips that I found in my old files, I made these tips a long time ago because of user requests on social media. I remake it for better image and video quality.
Please note that I rarely use this technique now but I am sharing it in case anyone wants to try it 🌷
Step by Step
Here I have prepared an illustration of clothes that have been given the base color
First, I used an airbrush to give a light color gradation from the top
and a slightly darker base color gradation from the bottom
(For light gradations I usually use a light cream/peach color)
Add multiply layers.
Shadows are given to the folded areas of the fabric
Then, on the same layer. click [lock transparent pixel]
then I used an airbrush to give a darker color gradation than before
Add new multiply layer.
then, I made the shadows darker
add a new multiply layer again, and give it a darker color than before
add a new multiply layer again
Here, we will start giving highlights. Add screen layers
add another screen layer, or you can also use the previous screen layer.
time to adjust, Here, I give it a darker gradation again
because I think the previous color is not enough
Finish 🌷
