Hi these are my first tips. These are just some of my tips for drawing animals and animal fur. I hope this will be helpful.

When you are drawing animals and want them to look realistic or semi-realistic I think one of the most important things you have to think about is fur.. People sometimes forget that fur is similar to hair it moves around its not just strands next to each other. When you want the fur to look more realistic look up references and mix colors. Don’t forget to chose the directions of the fur, this will help more when you are not using a reference.

These are just a few of the colors iwill use, you should use a lot of colors and mix them to get more depth.

1.Sketch the directions.

2.Choose a darker tone but not the darkest one that you are going to use.

3. Add colors.

4.Blend them.

 

I use soothing watercolor becouse it gives it a bit of textures.

5.Draw roughly where the fur is.

6.Blend a bit.

7.Put in more details and textures.

8.Make tha colours a bit softer.

9.Add some light.

10. And some last details.
