Some people may have thought that "Ha ha" in the title

It is not real time, but you can check the tiling every time you save the illustration you are working on

(It is only for Pro / EX because it converts the layer from the layer menu

I added the DEBUT version in the second half)

You need some preparation first (it starts with many letters)

Preparation 1

First create a canvas for tiling material

Size is free, big or small, width and height may be different

The size of the canvas will be the size of the tiling material

(In the sample, I created a canvas for tiling with 300 × 300 px)

Please save once by adding layers etc.

I will leave it as Tile.clip

(Can't close the canvas. Please reopen when closed.)

Preparation 2

Continue to create a canvas for previewing

This is also free size

I think that work efficiency is good if you can create it with 3 times or more of canvas for tiling if possible

I think that it is easy to check the seamless part

The sample created a canvas for preview at 900 x 900 px

I gave it a title such as "Preview" so

We do not "save" here (it does not matter if you save, but you do not need to save it)

Preparation 3

Display two canvases on the monitor

If there is a sub monitor, move the preview canvas there

If there is no sub monitor, select "Display side by side" from "Canvas" of the window menu (with a picture)

Please change the display magnification so that you can see the canvas for preview

Preparation 4 (this is miso)

Use the preview canvas as a preview

Select "Create File Object" of "Import" from the file menu

Find and load Tile.clip saved earlier

Select Object Tool

Open the tool property palette or subtool details

Check "Tiling"

Uncheck "Draw Media" in "Render Settings"

Preparation is now complete

Draw something on tiling canvas and save

Move the layer you drew and save it again

It is a funny specification that "save" and "preview"

Save the "Canvas for Preview" will be rewritten (it is interesting)

Although this alone can be used as tiling material,

From now on production!

I will skip the place to create illustrations

(↓ This is a set of "Koinoori" drawn for the sample

Please use it when it is troublesome to prepare an illustration)

(I also use it for the explanation of DEBUT in the second half)

We prepared four illustrations in the layer palette

The image of Koinobori, Makoto, Koi, Koi and squid

Convert this to image material layer in order

(The preview is rewritten when you save)

Select "Select all" from the selection menu (this is also a miso)

Select "Convert layer" from the layer menu

Select "Image Material Layer" in the pull-down list

I'm lucky because the selection remains.

I will convert the remaining illustrations to "image material layer"

When finished, "deselect"

Select object tool

Select image material layers in the layer palette in order

Check tiling in the tool property palette

(This is also miso)

Move the illustration with layer move or object tool

Save "Tiling Canvas" from time to time and check the tiling in "Preview Canvas"

Once you get in touch with the preview canvas

I will finish it

With 4 illustrations selected in the Layers palette

Select "Select all" from the selection menu

(In the case of the explanation drawing, illustrations were sticking out of the four sides, so I did not select it.)

Select "Convert layer" in the layer menu and convert it to "image material layer"

"Deselect"

Select Object Tool

Check "Tiling" in the tool property palette or sub tool details

Register the completed "image material layer" in the "material palette"

By hiding "Paper" in the layer palette of "Canvas for Preview"

I think we can confirm that the tiling material is transparent

Summary

Tiling image material layers

"Image material layer" can be created including the margin

"Image material layer" becomes a tiling material easily by checking the tiling

I thought that I could use this to easily determine the tiling position

It will be seamless without duplication and moving etc.

※ It is similar but you can not tile "Vector image material layer"

Use file object

Images imported as file objects can be treated in the same way as "image material layer"

The image material layer can be easily tiled by ticking the tiling

However, file objects can not be registered in the material palette.

It would be nice if file objects could also be registered

Is it available as a preview? I arranged the canvas for that

If you save while checking the tiling position, it will be previewed on the next canvas immediately

Unexpectedly happy to make

If you change the tiling size on the way, collect the material at the center once

You will have to start over from the selection but it's not a big deal

It is good if you use auto action

At DEBUT

Download the sample image of the carp streamer above (↑), name it and put it in a folder

Open directly with CLIP

Make 4 images the same size and save again

Choose "Change Canvas Size" from the Edit menu

Save the canvas size (in this case) with width and height 320px

I dare save for "CLIP STUDIO FORMAT" in "Save as" for the purpose of experiment

(You can leave it as PNG)

Close the canvas after saving

Create a canvas for tiling work

Create a new illustration at 320x320px

Select "Create File Object" from "Import" on the File menu.

Load the file just saved

(If saved as PNG, select “Image” from “Import” in the file menu and select the saved file.

It will be used as "image material layer" when it is read from "Import"

I think the imported image is lined up in the layer palette

Select the object tool

Select layers sequentially in the Layers palette

Check "Tiling" in the tool property palette

(If you can not check tiling, it may not be in DEBUT)

When all four layers are finished, hide "Paper" in the layer palette.

Save as "Tile 320. CLIP" etc.

Create a canvas for previewing

Create a new illustration at 900 x 900 px

I selected "Show side by side" of "Canvas" from the window menu

Select "Create File Object" from "Import" on the File menu.

Load "Tile 320. CLIP"

From the "Render Setting" pull-down of the tool property of the object tool

Uncheck "Draw Media"

Also check "Tiling" as it is

This is something amazing

The canvas with the file object loaded

Furthermore, it is read and displayed as a file object

After moving the streamer layer on the "tile 320. CLIP" canvas, you can preview it with "Save"

It is tiling material finished

DEBUT can not save to material palette

Is it saved as CLIP STUDIO FORMAT or exported as PNG?

I think that will be

It's over
