Discovering magic speech bubbles!

"Dancing Snow" also started with rotating these scatter effect speech bubbles.

You can change the brush tip shape of speech bubble outlines.

Scatter effects can also be added to brush tips.

You can find several speech bubbles with scatter effects on CLIP STUDIO ASSETS.

Rotating such speech bubbles can create fantastic animations.

I tried rotating a speech bubble

I decided to create a rotating animated GIF.

Even if it rotates, I'd need some kind of illustration...

Any illustration would do.

Even so, I wanted to keep it simple.

But, I preferred something cute.

Nothing beats cute, after all...

Suddenly, I thought of rotating a speech bubble.

I remembered the "Cat Speech Bubble" I made long ago.

Let's use this!

Display a grid on the canvas and draw a circle.

This is a speech bubble where the elliptical speech bubble line is replaced with a cat brush tip shape and a scatter effect is added.

I thought it would look cute if I rotated it.

It's definitely cute.

Display the timeline.

Set 6 seconds and 1 frame.

This 1 frame will be trimmed later.

Check "Enable keyframes on layer".

Set "Keyframe interpolation" to "Constant speed".

"Add keyframe".

Set playback position to "End".

In the Tool Property palette, set "Rotation angle" under "Transform" to (360).

Reduce the playback range by 1 frame.

A 6-second animation will be completed.

Export

This kind of rotating cat animation was supposed to be completed.

It's cute enough, but

Something was different.

It became something even more wonderful.

This is a wonderful cat animation.

I want to be surrounded by cats!

I want to be surrounded by rainbow-colored cats!!!

The text looks a bit blocky, doesn't it?

Come to think of it, the "Magic" text in the title also looks blocky...

I thought it would be cute rainbow-colored cats!! But

There's no "Color variation" option in the "Speech Bubble" sub tool details.

Huh?

Similarly, there's no "Color variation" in the "Figure" tool either.

Why isn't it there...?

Aiming for the land of magic

So, I decided to create it from a "G-pen".

Before that,

I'll register the "Cat Speech Bubble" to the "Preset" in "Brush Shape" under the sub tool details.

I'll "Duplicate Sub Tool" of "G-pen" and name it "Cat Pen".

After that,

I'll set "Brush size", "Scatter effect", and "Color variation" just like with "Dancing Snow" or "Taiyaki".

The cat magic is ready.

The magic of the Cat Pen

It exceeded 10MB, so this one is 20fps.

Others are 24fps.

The cat in the background is a material that came with CLIP STUDIO PAINT from the beginning.

It's "Nyanko 01".

These are the values for "Scatter Deviation" in "Scatter Effect" set from top to bottom as (100) (0) (-99).

Other settings are common.

It's also fun to try out various other things and play around.

Bonus

I borrowed "My 3D Nuko mk3" from Colonel Puu.

Content ID: 1715403

This is Nuko-sama jumping and praying on a magic circle.

I loaded the animation from the title as a file object

and placed it with perspective, like a magic circle.

File objects can be freely transformed as sub tool objects, just like image materials.

They can also be tiled.

File objects are excellent because they allow free transformation, tiling, and animation.

The End

There might still be mysterious magic hidden in CLIP STUDIO PAINT.

Everyone can become a magician, meow~🐈

Next, I'm thinking about magic using tone effects.

This concludes the scatter effects.

Thank you.
