Material production

1. Method of making material

 

Since this time I used homemade materials, the following describes how to make them.

  If you want to simulate the texture of the wet and mottled ink, you can use the watercolor, flat-headed watercolor pen (the area is better to paint), select the fine-grained watercolor paper and evenly paint it. After drying, you can get the obvious texture of the watercolor paper.

Scan the image to the computer and change the color to grayscale. After selecting it with the selection tool,

>Edit > Register material > Image > Use as a paper material, this image can be used as a material.

Different pigments, papers, and coloring methods can achieve different effects. You can try it yourself.

Brush settings

 

(In order to make the description easier to understand, I numbered the brush and the original name is not numbered.)

 

No.1 [rough]

 

CSP's built-in brush can draw delicate lines and make a brush-like rough texture. This time it is adjusted to a brush with watercolor edges and paper texture.

 

The settings are changed as follows >

Paper (paper density > stressed density magnification > 50)

Watercolor border (watercolor border > 1.7 transparency effect > 5 brightness effect > 1)

No.2 [light ink]

 

With a rendering effect, it can smudge high-density colors.

The CSP built-in brush, the area of [Ink] can be found.

 

No.3 [Brushing] (opaque watercolor wind/oil color system)

 

It can be used as a brush-like whitening effect, which can add a brushstroke effect to the picture, and is suitable for presenting branches and hair.

Drawing process

Determine the imagination and composition, with the theme of morning glory, water surface and uniform.

After the evaluation, the composition is interspersed with straight lines and curves, which should be more suitable for the effect of ink painting.

Color matching test, roughly test the overall color matching, and adjust the position of the morning glory.

After testing the color, organize it into a cleaner line draft as a reference for later coloring.

3. Background color

 

Before coloring, select the paper material no.0

Then change the layer mode to > Overlay, which will give you a paper effect similar to rice paper.

 

 

First lighten the line color as a color reference, then create a new layer, use no.2 [light ink], select the color with higher saturation, and pay attention to the white space on the reflective side to draw the background color.

Use no.2 [light ink] to darken the color in the shaded part, no.3 [bristle] Draw the details of the hair, no.1 [rough] Strengthen the fine lines of the wrinkles and fingers.

4. Background

Use no.2 [light ink] to draw the background color of the branches, then add no.1 [rough] and no.3 [bristles] to add the details of the branches, the underside of the water, and the white part to make the brush transparent. After the color, the irregular effect is wiped out.

 

 

Use no.2 [light ink], draw the background color with yellow and blue, and then add the texture of the picture, then adjust the brush to a transparent color and wipe out the light on the water surface.

Pay attention to the overall sense of the picture, and refer to the layout of the position of the morning glory.

Use no.2 [light ink] to draw the background color in purple, add white to make a smudge effect, then use no.1 [rough] to add detail.

Use no.1 [rough], draw the vines, make up the leaves, and use the no.2 [light ink] to smudge the leaves.

 

Create new layers, enhance colors, fill in the ripples of the water, white spots, textures of branches and other details.

6. Last modification

 

Change the color of the line to reddish brown, and strengthen the butterfly wings, eyes, background and other details.
