We will show you how to easily draw a water drop using the CLIP STUDIO PAINT brush.

First, create a new canvas.

At this time, set "Paper Color" to gray in the basic settings of the canvas.

When drawing a transparent material, we recommend using a paper color other than white so that you can easily check the transparency.

 

① Draw a silhouette.

Add a new layer and draw a polka dot silhouette with a pencil brush.

 

The brush used is a custom pen made from CLIP STUDIO official material.

② Remove the center with an eraser.

Use the Eraser tool [Soft Claw] to scrape around the center of the silhouette.

If you cut it like dropping a pen and a pen, you can scrape well.

③ Draw the reflected light.

Add light in white. The brush used is a custom pen.

You can create a sense of transparency by drawing a little inside the outline of the silhouette, or by drawing the reflected light reflecting the image of roundness.

With a white background, it looks like this.

If you want to emphasize transparency, you can leave it as it is, but if you add a blue color to the transparent part, it becomes more watery. You may want to lower the opacity or draw in multiply mode.

You can add more shadow to the bottom side or illuminate the whole area in the light emission mode to create a more brilliant expression.
