Introducing the making of illustrations with the theme of underwater.

 

The brushes used in making are also introduced.

Software used: Clip Studio Paint EX

Canvas size: 700 x 1000px, 72dpi

 

 

1) First, paint the base with a blue gradation.

Select the gradient tool and specify the "day sky" gradient,

Pull the pointer up from the center of the canvas.

Then, a gradation will be created, so use this as the base.

 

From here, I will also introduce the brush material used for making and the link to ASSETS.

Add new layers as you use the brush.

1) Draw the surface of the water

[Water surface brush (with shadow)]

(* Although it is displayed in black for easy viewing, the drawing color is specified as white.)

Change the composition mode to "Addition (light emission)" and draw a semicircle on the upper surface.

2) Draw a fish

One of the [Virgin fish brushes] [sakana02]

 

Change the composition mode to "Multiply" and draw like a circle.

I wanted to express the shadow of the fish, so I painted it in one color with a bluish color.

Place the fish all over. Please change the orientation etc. as appropriate.

Click [Edit] and select [Gradient Map] from [Color Correction].

Select [Daytime] from [Sky] in the gradient set and press OK.

3) Draw bubbles

One of the [Brush set that can draw the sea] ・ [Foam] brush

I draw it up and down.

Change the compositing mode to "addition (emission)" and reduce the opacity to 50%.

Draw all over to express small bubbles.

[Foam_color]

Place it wherever you like and change the compositing mode to "Overlay".

Add a new layer below the drawn layer and draw white around the bubbles with a pen brush.

It's fluffy like this.

 

It will be nice to stack them.

4) Draw light

[Starry sky brush]

Change the composition mode to "Addition (light emission)" and draw the upper part.

You can create an expression that makes the water surface shine.

Shows everything you've drawn so far.

I was a little worried about the position of the fish, so I fixed it.
